I will assume from the start that you are not greek and you don't live in greece (its obvious really,to my opinion that is) i will also assume that you are talking about ancient greek language.

If you are talking about modern greek (which you are trying to write with) then you are mistake my friend because more the 10 million ppl talk modern greek.

With that out of the way i will agree with you that ancient greek is a very beautiful language and that its not used but many these days save some professors and most of them don't know how to or can't pronounce it correctly (i've heard from a professor of mine that its kind of singy [?] ).I will also add that in comparison with modern greek the ancient simply kick ass in vocabulary and grammar.

As for the history ( from a neutral prespactive) and the myths,i can only say that yeah it good and awesome but if you live in greece all your life like myself then after 15 years of hearing the same shit again and again you can't take it any more.

The exeption to that is to get a professor/teacher that actually likes his/her job ,is interested in that stuff and has read more books then his fingers and toes together.

P.S Please don't be offended but your english are better then your greek.

i love greek mythology, i would learn greek if i had the resources and if i was so hooked on hentai and manga, i would be studying instead of read them

The greeks is also amazing at holding grudges for centuries and centuries even after actual event has came and passed.

I like Greek mythology because its just interesting and it saved my life multiple times in school when we had to the large text assignment. Also for the people who likes incest and animal sex i can say they would like Greek mythology.

I always think of King Leonidas and Thermopylae.

Who cares what culture a bankrupt country has? I mean, is Greece even still a country? Isn't more like a plot of land for actual genuine humans to visit from time to time?

I learned a bit about Greece way back in grade 9 and 10. but for only a little while, it was great and should be taught more, but not many people are interested on the subject anymore...

Greece is a smart country, they got da beaches so they don't care about the world. Why be emo when you can have fun everyday!
