The internet has killed another innocent commercial.

So apparently, you can't have a mixed family in a cereal commercial because that's racist.... I just have no words for the absurd amount of stupidity that I've read. Seriously, in an age where interracial couples are slowly becoming more common, you'd think that people would be ready and accepting to see something like this on T.v. Well, big ups to Cheerios for taking the first step and promoting their brand with a mixed family.

I am actually disgusted by those people.
I know everyone is a bit racist, but that is way over the top.
It was nothing but an innocent cerial commercial.
Fucking neo nazis.

I wonder if most or at least a decent number of them were simply trolling... I'm sure that racism against black people still exists but if a response is so negative that making a news report about it becomes relevant then we may be going back. We may be getting more ignorant, for some reason.
I seriously hope, but I don't think we'll ever know for sure, that this was the result of a few jokes that got attention and trolls decided to up their game.

Another day, another idiotic thing. I'm not sure if I'm surprised it reached this level, or that it took this long to get this far. Either way, the comments section on YouTube has been awful for a long time. Just a new level of commenting, I suppose.

Hella short too. there's really nothing to hate about it. Just trolls doing there trolling. Guess everyone has to put there hate on something.

I think you are overreacting.Just because one doesn't like chocolate cake and prefers pinapple cake doesn't mean one hates chocolate cake.
If you did not understand the hell I just said, see it this way: I don't have a fetish for black women, I prefer blondes or hispanics, but that doesn't mean I hate black people or consider them "inferior".
I'm still lost as to what you were saying, but I assume that you are trying to say that I'm defensive because there's a black man in the commercial, which is far from the point. What I'm pissed at is the hateful comments aimed at the video because there was an interracial couple in the video. If the guy was mexican, asian, or of any other race, I would still be pissed.

Apparently cheerios got some major backlash over their new ad...because it featured a interracial couple

Wow people really need a damn slap in the face! That commercial was nothing but cute and harmless, I even went "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" outloud it was so cute. I think the fact that they made it an interracial family was nice. People are criticizing it because it's not a "norm" same with all the pro gay ads they've been having, a couple companies like Winners I THINK it was, had some ads with same sex couple families, and it made an outrage too, WHY?
Does it really bother some assholes out there to see people happy? I prefer having mix raced, same sex couples, and opposite sex couples in commercials, rather than JUST same sex/ same race couples.
It makes the commercials more realistic. Plus if the media starts promoting that kind of stuff, people might stop being so negative towards it and realize it's NORMAL. The media effects peoples thoughts so much, that I think this kind of advertising is PERFECT for the world these days.
