What a way to start off the season. Social commentary episodes have got to be the best kind SP puts out, especially if you know the details behind it. This episode mentioned the male sex drive and how others either make shit up or just find ways to make it more dramatic than it really is. The thing with the monkey and the cash was the best thing in that episode and that was the kind of lol moment I needed out of SP. I also agree that golf is fucking lame, and I'd like to add that it's one of the worst sports ever.

If I'm honest South Park hasn't been as funny for me lately, it hasn't gone downhill simpsons style though, I just find the older ones funnier.. the bad animation usually added to the hilarity for me.
But either way they still do make some golden episodes so I still look forward to this.

They had me at the start of the episode, but they had lost me by the end of it. I liked when Cartman was playing the "golf" game, and the monkey bit was hilarious, but it was just too preachy for me taste. Them not saying anything good didn't help much. Yeah, rich guys who cheat on their wives or harass employees tend to not take responsibility, but that doesn't mean that sexual addiction is not a real thing. And how would Bill Clinton be a sex addict anyways? How the hell is cheating on your wife with one woman being addicted to sex? Who would ever say that? (Besides South Park.)
Meaningless social commentary aside, the episode had steam in the beginning but lost it along the way. By the time they shoved the "alien" out, I didn't care about anything anybody was saying. I laughed because Butters and Kyle killed someone, but that would have been funny in any situation.

Episode 2 wasn't as good. Sure, their new commentary about people manufacturing meanings in writings was spot on, but it wasn't as funny. I R sad for not having laughed some more. I actually had to look up what Sarah Jessica Parker looked like because of them.

The whale episode was pretty greatIt was, and I understood the parody of it. Also just watching Cartmen sing Pokerface was just brilliant.

When an episode's supposed to be about "social commentary," its jokes about the issue should at least make sense.
The 2nd episode was like the first - started strong, then fizzled out. As much as it pains me to say this, it seems that South Park would be better off doing 15-minute episodes instead of half-hour ones. They make good jokes and good, but the jokes end up being run into the ground, and any message they try to make sounds preachy by the end.

You don't get it, but it's okay though, other people appreciated the comedy. (Hint: exaggerations = comedy material)

A lot of people appreciate Family Guy's comedy. Doesn't mean the people who say it sucks don't have a point.

finally somebody feels the same way I feel about South Park right now.I really hate to say that the half-a-show thing would work better for South Park because I dislike most of those shows, but it just looks like the truth. It would probably be better if South Park stopped being a show with seasons and just made stuff when they could come up with a good amount of jokes for a current event. That would never happen, I know, but it'd be cool if it could. Anyways, I think the show should end soon. They've covered practically every topic, and there aren't enough things to parody in society and pop culture. (Rather, the things to be parodied are done so long before South Park's episodes air.)

That's it. No sense in taking it seriously. The message is there, and the exaggerations make the presentation enjoyable. At least to me.
