For a good long year the pillows were my favorite band. I love all their new stuff, of course especially the FLCL soundtrack (they made that show what it was). I dived into their older stuff and it's taken me a long time to finally get through it.
My favorites are Serious Plan, I think I can (me and a friend were singing, more like shouting this in the middle of the city), Advice, No Surrender, Runners High and Crazy Sunshine. But these are really only a few.
Feel free to post your favorites, why you like them or just general discussions about concerts, albums and all that stuff.
Also, anybody notice they put out an album like every 8 minutes?

I love the pillows, but what I love the most is when they let the instruments speak(stalker goes to babylon, Beautiful morning, Pink(A-16), Nightmare, White Ash). I wanna rap on 4 out of 5 of those

but yeah, i love these guys. they pretty much made FLCL. i was so disappointed i couldn't see them in SF the first time they came. and yeah, they have so many albums...

Hell yeah, The Pillows are awesome.
No one even mentioned "Ride on Shooting Star" yet? It's freaking amazing. Along with a lot of their songs. "Hybrid Rainbow", "Welcome to Bubbletowns Happy Zoo", "Please Mr. Lostman"
Like I said, they are awesome.

'Bran-new Lovesong', without vocals, definite favorite. More haunting than the vocal version. Ya, pretty much anything from FLCL though, of course. 'Funny Bunny', 'Carnival', 'One Life', 'Stalker', 'Hybrid Rainbow', 'Paper Triangle', 'No Self Control', 'Happy Bivouac'. I also dug the 'Synchronized Rockers' cover album, especially 'Hybrid Rainbow' and the jazz rendition of 'Sad Sad Kiddie'. Some of the covers are kinda goofy though. Or maybe not goofy but considerably different from the originals. Stranger.

I've been meaning to get around to listening to their old stuff. I hear it's really great. I've still only listened to their FLCL era albums.
