the first ep of the second season was fairly good! I was surprised though with the Zombies in the church scene...didn't think that zombies where aware of such things.

Curious and Wondering
First episode of the 2nd season was kind of nice, but it's kind of noticeable in a subtle way they changed the tone of the series. Whereas each of the previous season's episodes had this film-like feel to it and having central focus on a character or two, this one was more tailored for a long television series and more focused on the group dynamics and their collective efforts to adapt to a post-apocalyptic world.

So fucked up. I gotta hand it to the producers though. In the beginning they show Shane shaving and bathing, and the audience is like: okay, it looks like he survived. How did he do it? Then they show the same scene in the end and the audience is like: how the fuck can you do that? Shane couldn't even look at himself in the mirror. I loved how it was done.

Yeah, last night's episode was by far the best one in the series so far. Can't wait to see if Rick or anyone from Hershal's family finds out.
Shane shooting him in the leg like that was bad enough and then to see him beat the backpack off him and then to hear him screaming while the zombies ate him was pretty brutal.

I'm liking Daryl's character in the second season a lot more. I wonder how long he'll be staying with the group and what changes his character will bring.

I love this series. I can't wait to see Shane complete his meta-transformation. Daryl is definitely my favorite character. He's matured so much after the Merle incident it's pretty amazing. +1 for rednecks ^.^
