Normally when a show differs as much as this one from the comics, its a red flag for me, but they can be taken in equal doses. Its a hell of a good zombie series so I recommend it to any of my friends who haven't checked it out yet.

Well the creator said in the comics that he wanted the show to be a stand alone series similar enough to the comics to be appreciated by the fans, but different enough to be enjoyable by them because it's not as fun to watch when you know exactly what's going to happen every episode and who's going to die and when. I think that's a good way to look at things and personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the show so far. I think my only disappointment is Andrea. After reading up to issue 75 so far, I can say that her comic version is soooo much better. She's just kind of an annoying whore in the show as opposed to a badass female character. It seems to me as though Michonne and Andrea were switched up a bit for the show and the comic since Michonne seems to be a bit of a whore in the comics, but now she's the badass. Well, more badass anyway. I like the changes to Michonne in the show. I hope she doesn't get

Its awesome in its own right. At first I wasn't sure i'd like it after reading the comics for so long, but the series is definitely good. I like the dynamics of the characters and how their personalities change to cope with the fact that they have to do some things in order to survive that they wouldn't have done previously in their lives. Its a mind-bender as well as a great story, can't wait to see season 2.
