This ever happen to you?

Have you ever gone out with some friends, guys or/and girls, just hanging out, and then someone randomly asks you if your went to "*****" High School, or if your name is "*****" and you have no clue who the person actually is, even though at the moment or after you could tell he/she was interested in you?




In my case back in high school times, me and some friends were at a nearby mall having something to eat, and upon are way out one of the girls working in the food court called at us, one of my friends thought she was calling for him, but it was really me she wanted to talk to, that kinda pissed him off and I lol at that.

So yea she calls me over, and asks me if I remembered her from "said" middle school, (of course I didn't and after that I still couldn't remember her) I said I kinda did, she told me her name (she remembered mine) and I kinda thought I remembered her (this was like 3 yrs after middle school) but since I was already interested in someone I didn't ask for her phone number, I am sure she would have given it too me, but she didn't really ask me the same. Me and my friends left, and that's that, I didn't frequent that mall a whole lot and the times I did go there I didn't see her there.

So that was it, has this happened to anyone else before, and what did it lead to if anything.

Nope. Its never happened to me. Sometimes I see former school mates, friends, etc. But I never work up enough courage to say hi to them for fear that they wont remember me.

A couple times, but i never really thought of it as a good pick up line, to give or receive.

yeah happens to me once and awhile...

makes me feel like crap.

that the person remembers me and I got no clue who they are. (Dont just mean girls who call me out but guys as well.) I tend t forget names and faces easily unless I see them all the time.

still in HS but when i go to SJ i meet some old friends.

yeah. bout my sophmore year, i girl came to visit my house for her quinceanera ( 15th birthday ) and asked me to be part of it. i looked, around, " are you talking to me ? " she says yes. im like " wait , you are.." im from **** school. we went their together. turns out she was that girl i had a crush back in 3rd grade. and left her 4th. IDR at all. after the gig. i avoided her.

Unlikely to ever happen to me. Most former classmates still recognize me instantly, and would also most likely never be interested in me. Oh, well...

That kinda happend to me in high school but the other way around, It was after school and me and my friend went up to the shops to buy some hot chips, i noticed a friend from primary school, I was like to my friend "should i say hi?", I did anyways so I was like "hey (persons name)" and then he was like "sup". after that i turned around and finished my chips then left.

lol use to happen a lot trough high school with people i "knew" from middle school i would be out some where and someone would call my name they would come over with the old long time no see thing and how ya been while im still not remembering who they are and trying to form sentences that wouldn't show i didn't know and after words if i was with my friend that went to the same middle school i would ask him is i knew them then he would explain who they were most of the time i still wouldn't remember and if he wasn't there then there was know chance of me ever knowing

Happens to me with old classmates/schoolmates' parents a lot in town. I mean, I might have known who they were a long time ago but now I'm clueless.

Doesn't often happen with my actual classmates, as I went to a pretty small school.

No. Very seldom visit the old neighborhood except for Lent. Church social has the best baked cod so I go every friday during lent. No one remembers me; thank God.

I remembers them...they don't and I don't really care...

No. Because in high school I went out of my way to make sure the people I liked I remember and the people I did't don't remember me.

It happens to me when I go back to the town where I was born. I went to middle and high school (though two weeks) only there, so I really don't remember people and usually people don't remember me...Sometimes when I see someone, we look at each other intensely, trying to put a name on the face...but no.

Though from times to times we do recognize each other...One girl I saw at a mall jumped in my arms saying "We were in middle school together you big IDIOT". That's like 5 years ago...

Nope, mainly cause i never moved from elementary to high school. Stayed in the small city my entire life.

get that a lot. most of the time, I'll just ignore it. Whenever she started to asking things, I'll just answer randomly to make her bored and leave me alone.

Never for romantic reasons, but several times people have come at me with "remember me?". i never do. occastionaly i might recognize a face, but my mememory for names is crap. only nicknames and uncommon names seem to stick.

i've been mistaken for someone else too. odd because i have a fairly unique look.

I've had this happen to me, but vice-versa. I saw a friend I had hung out with, and when I said "Hey [Brad]*, how are ya?" He was like "who the fuck are you?". It's not a very nice feeling.
