This Is A Depressing Song

I have to admit this song is really sad to me. And Johnny Cash is one of my favorite artists of all time. But this song just makes me feel bad.
Now post your depressing songs as well.

"Hurt" is a very good song.
This song pulls on certain strings as far as I'm concerned.
And its not just depressing, but also dark and demented.
Which is why I love it so.

Nine Inch Nails' cover is so much better.Funny when I was looking at the 100 greatest artists of all time. I didn't see Nine Inch Nails. Johnny Cash is a legend Nine Inch Nails are a fad.

Funny when I was looking at the 100 greatest artists of all time.Yes, because a subjective topic like music should always be based upon a linear scale like "100 greatest". Good job having your own opinion.
Also, Nine Inch Nails didn't cover it, Johnny Cash did. NIN created the song.
Anyway,

You could pretty much list their entire discography in this thread, but this is one of my personal favorites.

Brilliant song, that. It is indeed a Cash cover of NIN; one of his last ever recordings, I believe.
Alternatively, listen to 90% of their other songs. :p

Maybe not the most depressing song in the world, but it makes me sad every time I listen.

"We were in the studio, getting ready to work -- and I popped it in," Reznor says. "By the end I was really on the verge of tears. I'm working with Zach de la Rocha, and I told him to take a look. At the end of it, there was just dead silence. There was, like, this moist clearing of our throats and then, 'Uh, OK, let's get some coffee.''

Oh, definitely. The fact that he recorded that video mere months before he died caps an incredibly poignant, reflective rendition.

Anything by Ted Nugent.
It's depressing knowing that such an awesome musician is a complete douchebag.
