Sorry to hear that, but really, what's with a lot of guys treating girls like that? Instead of showing respect to them they treat them badly and then dumps them in a worst possible way.
Well anyways, all I can say is move on and have a boyfriend who watches anime. That way he will turn out to be the kind one, at least from what I've seen, guys who watches anime almost all the time turns out to be kind (well that's just my opinion).

You can always look on the bright side of things. Do you really want to have relationships (or even know) people of that calibre of asshat? They are being cruel but all that means is that you will end up avoiding them, leaving them to fester in their own bile. While you can self improve, learn from the experience and be the better person and meet better people.
