Already checked the masterlist and first 5 pages, and found nothing about this band (found something about maynard tho).
Band profile taken from wikipedia
[i]Tool is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1990, the group's line-up has included drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, and vocalist Maynard James Keenan. Since 1995, Justin Chancellor has been the band's bassist, replacing their original bassist Paul D'Amour. Tool has won three Grammy Awards, performed worldwide tours, and produced albums topping the charts in several countries.
Tool emerged with a heavy metal sound on their first studio album Undertow in 1993, and later became a dominant act in the alternative metal movement with the release of their second effort, Ænima, in 1996. Their efforts to unify musical experimentation, visual arts, and a message of personal evolution continued with Lateralus (2001) and the most recent album 10,000 Days (2006), gaining the band critical acclaim and success around the world.
Due to Tool's incorporation of visual arts and relatively long and complex releases, the band is generally described as a style-transcending act and part of progressive rock and art rock. The relationship between the band and today's music industry is ambivalent, at times marked by censorship and the band members' insistence on privacy.
If ye wanna know more about them, check here or here (Official Site).
And to start things off, let me post one of my favourite song from Tool, Jambi

once i read a post
"For Training my body, i go to the gym,
for training my mind i listen to tool."
and i think it's true, i have never found another band
with a sound that could catch me like tool.
Listening to Lateralus for example gives me shivers, because
it is just so ... sorry can't find the words ... epic ??

Ha similar pic.
(I do apologize before hand if this is 3 years old but I did not want to make another thread if there is one present.)
I got into Tool because of Sober (thank you radio) and from their I got into Jambi. And just like zeroniv_legend Jambi was my favorite song. Then two weeks later after Jambi was being played a lot of the radio my brother bought me 10,000 Days.
Around last year at my job one of my co-workers was into them as well. So we started talking about the music we listen and what not. Until I saw this video

I was hooked because of the bassist. (not the kid, the riff)
So I showed the guy the vid and told him I never heard this song. He looked at me like I was living under a rock lol. But I told him all I had was 10,000 Days and was never able to find the hard copies of their past album. Then he says he could get them for me and put it on one CD just as long as I provide the CD. So I did, got home, listened from their 72826 sample tape to Lateralus and I gotta say...I've been missing out on a lot of good music.
The guy even got me Salival and Opiate.
I have to say between Lateralus and Aenima...I like those two albums.
Favorite song has to be between

Also, might as well chime in to say I love Tool. Especially Maynard and Justin (major influence on my bass playing). My favourite song to sing is probably Wings Pt. 2, and favourite to play on bass would probably Schism. Parabola, Vicarious, The Pot and The Grudge are other favourites too.
