Top 30: Things To Look Forward To In 2033
0
I remember looking at this Top 30 list on AskMen when it was first published , but they were lagging and took a bit to release part 3 and I don't really visit AM quite often (the list is divided into 3 parts, 10 per list), so I finally remembered about it and stumbled upon part 3 last week.
Pretty cool list and makes me question what are the possibility of these things coming close to being reality in the future/year 2033. If not most mentioned in the list won't probably make it until a few more decades or close to never. Still a pretty interesting list nonetheless.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
My top 3 out of the list
1.Future Cities Inside Regular Cities (#2 of pt. 2)
A city within a city? Insane concept, possibility of that ever happening will probably a very long time maybe even never, but the concept is very neat. For now I will just dream of that idea through reading comics.
2.Airless tires (#8 of pt. 3)
Also known as the tweel if I can recall it is actually expected to be released in 2011, which is a very cool concept that will forever assure our worries of a flat tire and other problems.
1.Solar roads (#1 of pt. 3)
After seeing this on the list I did some research and it is actually being considered in some countries where their territory has less than 50% roads, which means it wouldn't cost much to implement solar roads in small countries compared to the U.S. or so.
Btw, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I guess it really depends how the discussion goes to really determine where this thread belongs.

When California breaks off the US finally. Also World War 3Don't forget famine, resource depletion, post-post peak oil tranportation with rationing, crowded public transportation, major environmental damage and masses of people displaced by global warming.
Joy! I can't wait...
...for there'll be need of a bunch of guys with the guns to keep all this panic filled, angry, desperate mass of humanity in check while the rich keep on ignoring the issues as long as they can buy their ticket to idle luxury.

Curious and Wondering
Let's see...
... open-source cars? "Dear, use the Ubuntu car, Windows 10 crashes too much". I predict Apple's going to have an iCar. Imagine how the steering wheel would look like. And look, viruses will now get into your car. You're gonna have stations that gives your car energy while advertising Norton. "Hi sir, would you like a virus check-up with your battery recharge?"
... airless tires are cool. Real cool, I can imagine longer, more enduring police car chases on TV, without some bloke on either side having to bow out due to a flat tire.
... floating cities are good, but would still have to grapple with tsunamis, water turbulence and the occasional accommodation, because traveling from country to country in a water-floating house will be still tourism, and the Coast Guard will have to deal with it. God, I'd love to have a floating villa in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle.
... pretty interesting list overall. But I think only a handful would be realistic by that age.

I expect weird crystals slowly eating up our planet and ion cannons replacing nukes as most prominent mass-destruction weapon.
And giant airships and floating mega-cities. That would be fun too.
In all honesty, it is very hard to predict what future will hold...we might not advance much as well as live on Uranus by that date.

I look forward to sex simulators. Considering I'm only interested in 2-D girls. Also nanotechnology.

I'm looking forward to when lists become concise and no longer need "Top 30: this" or "Top 100: that" I skim through most of that shit anyways. Shorten it up to Top 10 ... at most...
