It's a great month folks! We have some new chocoloatey dishes for you, and though many of them were posted toward the end of the month, better choco-LATE than never, right? We'll be living La Vida Cocoa with these fine dishes:
Animefreak_usa made Dark Chocolate banana cake with strawberry ganache
Lastmousestanding made S'more Chocolate Pie
Mantisprime1250 made Chocolate Apple Cake
Melfice made MOAC, Chocolate Edition
Nekohime made Somewhat-Portal-Inspired Microwave Cake
Strawberry Girl made Eclairs
Lots of sweet entries this month, and that makes me happy! I hope we keep raising the bar as far as entries go, and not fudge it up next month.
Edited to unsticky. Congrats to Strawberry Girl!

Well, Im loving the entries this month - also newer contestants and also the regulars are awesome as well. I still really love all the chocolate puns, they really stimulate my Chocolitoris (and that was potentially on of the worst puns I have ever made in my life, but it was the only one I could think of...).
Now time to make a fool of myself and try and explain who I voted for and why
Animefreaks - looks really tasty (I also love having bananas in my cakes), but a tad messy and I personally dont really like strawberrys with my chocolate...
Mine - since I tasted it, I think it a clear winner cause it was so tasty, but since others cant taste it (not that I would let them, that chocolate pie is not made for sharing), I should have done more to make it look visually appealing, like adding some ice-cream to the side or drizzling it with chocolate sauce. Not voting for myself though...
Mantisprime - just in the nick of time i see :D. Looks nice and a really interesting idea with the apple on the top part - Ive never seen that been done before. Although it looks tasty, it probably should be together with something, like Animefreaks was, as it seems a little plain just by itself.
Melfice - a solid student recipe as always - mostly made in your bed as well, but it cant really compete (in my opinion) with the other dishes here and the lack of you being half-naked in the pics ruined all your chances. Likes nice and ill probably make it some day. om nom nom
Nekohime - I really liked this one. You took a nice simple recipe - a microwave cake - the ultimate lazymans cake - and really showed your creative side and it looks amazing. But in my humble opinion, the winner (of my vote) is...
Strawberry Girl - My vote goes to him. I was impressed by the ingredients pictures (being labeled, but it looks great and probably tastes great and is defineatly something I want to try making in the future, though I dont the outcome will be as good as yours. Also it seems like it took a long time, so kudos for that to.
blah, meh and thats my reasoning behind my vote...

Vote for me because of Narcissism and my pride as a asst to the head patissier. Which plating wasn't my job.

Can I vote for Nekohime's chocolate puns?
Cause that is the only deciding factor right now since I want to eat these all.

Lol, neko-chan.
Anyway, congrats to Strawberry Girl for the wonderful eclairs! You get to pick the theme/secret ingredient for the month of October, and I'll rep you as soon as I can.

From 5am to 9am:
All the rolls, breads, loafs.
Saturday and Sunday brunch.
croissant, pain au chocolat, beignet, and Tarte plus other stuff depending on the season. They let me sometime just do a pastries i wanted to do and do some of my peoples stuff like tres leche and pastisset, bunyoks and Priorat lan'y pears(i have not idea for pears in Catalan).
From 6-9pm which was the opening times.
All the deserts and sauces... which the old man was such a hard ass he always plated to his desire... make the kids do 95 % of the stuff and he takes all the credit.
It seem hard but since most of the people working there lived in the small town and most of us where summer people so we lived in a dorm.. wasn't that bad of a life.. got fat though.
The other places i worked for i just worked i either was the morning prep or just the swing chef.. mostly on the deserts and grill.
