[Top Chef Fakku Contest Entry] Leek Tart
0
Here is my leek and carrot tart.
In Process:

Final Product:

It tasted nice (may just have been because I made it and I was hungry), but I don't know about the appearance. I'm not that experienced, but I guess trial and error is a good way to learn :). The recipe will be up when i get around to writing it up...
Any tips, critiques and advice are welcomed.

[font=Verdana][color=green]Hey, I'm still waiting for the recipe! XDHere we go - translating takes time and I was lazy, but here is the recipe.
Ingredients:
Dough:
60 g. wholemeal (graham flour)
40 g plain flour
1 Tbsp. oil
3 Tbsp. cold water
salt
Filling:
125 g carrots
400 g leeks
2 eggs
30 g cottage cheese 20 +
1 dl. milk
20 g grated cheese 30 + (17%)
salt and pepper
Knead all the ingredients for the dough together, until it gets a smooth texture. Put it in the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes.
Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes. Clean the leeks and chop them into thin slices. Cook the carrots and leek for approx. 2 min. in lightly salted water and strain them afterwards. Now wisk the eggs, cottage cheese, milk, grated cheese, salt and pepper.
Roll the dough thinly and place in a greased tart dish (20-22 cm in diameter). Prick the dough with a fork and pre-bake 10 min. at 200 degrees. Spread the leek and carrots over the bottom of the tart and pour the egg mixture over it. Bake it for approx. 30-40 min. at 200 degrees (celcius) on middle of the oven. .
Serve with salad.
