Underscore Virus

Anybody here experienced the underscore virus??
Stupidity strikes, I let my classmates bring my clean flash drive to my teacher and copy an activity, then it came back to me with this shit.
It changed my folders to .exe and moved the other folders in a new folder named "_" (underscore symbol) then made the show hidden folders useless.
does anybody know how to fix my notebook? I wanted to kick somebody when I was at school trying to fix this fucker.
HELP!!!! T_T

Depends alot on what you can still do with your computer. First if you have anti-virus software try running it. If the virus won't let you or you don't have any try downloading some. Microsoft's Security Essentials works well and is free. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
If the virus won't let you download AV software you have a couple of other choices. You can remove your hard drive and install it in another computer with properly running AV software, then run a search on your hard drive to remove the virus. If that isn't an option you can try creating a boot disc. UBCD4Win comes with a bunch of AV choices built in. This does require you to have a copy of a windows xp install disc. The program will create a boot disc from its own install files and windows files from the xp disc. You then burn this image onto a cd/dvd and boot from it. This keeps the virus contained to your hard drive and allows acces to your files. The whole process is a little complicated but it is a surefire solution. http://www.ubcd4win.com/

+1 for Microsoft Security Essentials. Free, and not full of crap like Norton or McAfee.
There's also Malwarebytes. The free version is good for basic scans, but doesn't have the automatic on-access file scanner like MSE has.

Well, let me get the shameless plug out of the way: You could take it to Office Depot because they can get rid of it for you!
Ok,with that out of the way: You could start in the middle ground. Most of the viruses I've dealt with make running in normal mode too annoying. I've had luck doing system restores to get rid of some things. I also back the removal of the infected drive so that you can have a functioning antivirus / anti-malware program look at it. It has always made sense to me, but I also don't like mucking around with multiple systems to that degree. If worst comes to worst you could restore the system to it's factory condition, but that would defeat the purpose if you are trying to save your files.
