Unlocking the 3DS

I'm just looking for information, if anyone has any, on getting the 3DS unlocked. I would like to play Monster Hunter 4 along with other Japanese 3DS games without having to wait for a not likely U.S. release and/or without buying a Japanese 3DS.

You can't.
[size=1]You can get the Gateway if you have a firmware older than 4.5, but even then you can only play Roms from other regions - not retail games from other regions.[/h]

you cant: its locked by hardware, not software,

Its not possible, even special cards like the R4i and the acekard will not work. I found this out the hard way when I bought an R4i to play Japanese games.
