Since you already have an AMD build going, you should see if your motherboard is compatible with the phenom 2 6-core that is out and then get that.
Also if you do get a Radeon, keep your old GeForce around so you can use it as a dedicated Physx card if you have another PCI-E x16 slot open. You'd have to use Google to find out how to make it work but it can be done.

i looked at that new processor, so sexy ❤ n only 200$ so thats pretty awesome too

look up your motherboard for the bios updates and see if there is one that would allow it to accept AM3 processors
or you can overclock that cpu and just upgrade the gpu
you should also check to see if the psu is good enough

While you're at it, Id say go get W7. You mentioned your OS, so I guess it's a concern of yours. I've loved it ever since I got it.

tried OC my cpu... couldnt get it to OC worth shit lol
yea i beta'd win 7... zomg so good
a friend of mine said dont bother getting a new cpu, and get a ssd [solid state] cuz itll make it faster than it would if i got a new cpu n a hd... so... i unno lol. i could just do some of everything... but slight budget of like 200 or so a check..

getting an ssd is not a worth it upgrade from what you have
you'll have nice load times and snappy boot times and your programs will open quicker but they won't give you any other performance
I would first upgrade to a 5770 then down the line something like a phenom II or athlon II and ya 64bit go for it

I wouldn't do Athlon 2 as it doesn't have any L3 cache. Some of the older ones had it but it was disabled and if you had the right board you could unlock them but usually they were disabled for a reason. Same thing goes with a lot of newer dual/tri cores. Some of them are actually quads or six core with cores disabled. Usually due to those specific cores being defective.

If the mobo is capable of unlocking cores... the Phenom II X2 555 is a really good bet on getting a cheap Quad core at a little risk.
If it isn't, then just get your 6 or 4 core processor and be done with it.
A good graphics card upgrade would be

Its better than a 5770, but a little more expensive :(

For Graphics cards I'd go with either the GTX 460 or the Radeon HD 5830. They are really close in terms of performance but the 460 is $30 more expensive and has CUDA/Physx which a limited number of games take advantage of. If you were to play one of those games that made use of it on a Radeon your processor would instead have to render the physics effects meaning you better have a really strong processor. Here is the list of games that are supported: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhysX#Games

The first thing I'd swap is your videocard. The 9300 is starting to get slightly dated and was never a performance card in the first place. Look into getting one of the new Radeons, or if you want to be cheap and don't mind older hardware 9800 of some stripe.

[just got back from camping :D]
yay thx for that tip about the ssd... saved me some money :D
yea i would go for the GTX 470 but lil out of my range :p i dont make all too much money after bills n such.. so im shooting for 200-250$ range for each upgrade. hence why im looking at the 5770, so far its the best for that price i could find.
i looked at the 5830, its not too much more... so if i can find a place that sells it i might just get that one and its a lot faster too.
As for the Physx i only have 1 of those games.. lol and dont really care too much about those games :p i mostly play fps and couple rts [sc2, wc3] so the whole physx thing isnt rly a concern of mine.
Just searched up Radeon HD 5830, cant find anywhere that sells the ATI Radeon HD 5830. Theyre all the other brands or something... im not the greatest with new products and the branding of them.
Most likely going to order from here because they have a store near me, but need to check out couple local shops first: http://ncix.com/search/?categoryid=0&q=Radeon+HD+5830
EDIT: Nachbar... i saw you posted up a build for someone in another thread, instead of accidental high-jacking that thread, ill just continue it here :p
would that build be better than my current pc would be after i upgrade it?
because if it is, i wouldnt mind just building my own because its not all that hard, plus i have a friend that wants/needs a comp, and my current one would do her fine so i can pawn it off :p
