Vegas pro 9 help needed
0
Alrighty. I'm in need of help for a few things.
1. Every time I try to render a movie that I make, it renders it fully, but if I upload it to say youtube, it only plays the first 4 minutes 42 seconds. I've heard around that the problem is the type of the video that I save the movie as. I tried saving it with a different template ( no idea what that is )but still get the dreaded 4 minutes 42 seconds.
2. I'm make pretty bland videos, so I'd like to ask you guys for what features of vegas pro do you like to use. I don't know the interface well, so it would help if you could direct me to those. And I'd be very grateful if you can post a video on youtube of you using the program showing all the fun/cool things about vegas.
3. I also cannot find a way to speed up the videos. For instance if I want to make the video go at 2x the speed to get to the good part quicker.
4. Is there a way to have 2 videos playing at the same time on the screen (have two videos playing at the same time in the main video). If so how do I go about doing that. If not what program do I need to use?
Any help is greatly appreciated. If this is a repost, I'm sorry and will delete this thread if asked. But please provide link to the thread first.
Thanks.

1:
I use the .wmv templates (Windows Media Video), as for some reason when i try to use some of the .mp4 formats or .avi, it doesn't include sound at all even if i check it on the options.
.wmv should work since it makes the file also pretty small, i have as well uploaded videos Youtube successfully after that.
3:
Easiest way is to hold down CTRL and then dragging the clip's end or beginning and stretch it to make it slower or making smaller to making it faster. Also i heard it usually lowers the quality of the video when you change the speed of the clip, right click the video and go Properties. There should be something about resampling. Check the "Disable Resampling for videos" option (it says something like that, Disable Resmapling). It'll keep your video on good quality.
For 2 i can't answer as i am not a professional.

Thanks for the reply, I shall try out both suggestions right now.
UPDATE: Yeah, I just tried to render a 6 minute movie and all of it got through, thanks(btw 1000 fps for wmv format? Dang!). I shall try out the speed up/slow down thing now.

Regarding question two, fades are a nice simple effect for videos. In case you're not familiar with how to do that, you just pull one clip over the other and overlay as much as you want faded. Hope it helps.

Hope it helps. That sounds pretty nice, and I also never did that before (even by accident). It sucks being a perfectionist. Thanks. Any further help is greatly appreciated!

Sucks being a perfectionist? Slap yourself some sense man.
Anyways, you always have zooms and rotations. I don't quite remember what the panel was where you could change that but a quick google search or even youtube will teach you how.

Sucks being a perfectionist? Slap yourself some sense man.It is convenient at times but sometimes it just pisses me right off. It makes me spend more time on things that could be done in a matter of minutes. Anyways...

I'm thinking of doing a dual video video ( trying to put two videos side by side on the main screen. Is this possible on vegas pro or do I need to get another program?
