vinyl has that warm, rich, it is in your room sound to it and i do love that but
CD on teh other hand for me is easier because i do not have the room for the equpiment needed for LP's

CDs because I can play them on my sound system and PC. I can't stand the scratching noise on vinyls.

I prefer vinyl myself. I actually just dicovered records a couple months ago after stumbling across a record store and finding an album from one of my favorite Metal bands. Its less convienient but the sound quality is better compaired to CDs or MP3s.

I don't see them as less convenient, just for the home. Mp3s are a on-the-go type thing. Same with CD's before mp3s.

Going to have to go with CD's, mainly because I never see any death metal bands sell anything else. maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

CDs cut some frequencies the Vinyls keep,so yes,LP's are superior but more expensive to make ergo more expensive to buy.

Yeah, but most of the time they're worth the extra price since most (that I've bought) come with a free mp3 download of the album. Sure, you can get the mp3 free (illegally) online, but you get the point. Not to mention old vinyls are cheaper than CDs if you know where to shop. I bought a Doors vinyl from this store where they sell used books, vinyls, etc. And it cost the same, if not less, as the CD.

CD's. They're easier to share.
Plus, I don't have a Record player.
Although Vinyl is nice to display.

CDs have a better quality of sound, and last and wear better than vynil, but there is something more ...romantic(?) about vynil. the hiss of the needle, the little pops and distortions that are unique to each record make it feel a little more personal. once you get used to the different quirks of your own records, other sources don't sound right.

It is important to note that both cd and vinyl have its advantages and disadvantages. The vinyl records every frequencies it hears and carves a groove to produce sound. Obviously, this makes the 'warm' sound people claim to hear. However, it is extremely fragile. A cd is a digitally rendered version of the music seared into the metallic components of the cd. Its advantages is that it is very easy to use and quite durable. However since it is digital, some parts of the music's frequency is 'cut'.
it's all physical vs digital
im a vinyl man myself because i take care of my records and enjoy the reward of listening to bliss.
