I sense showing off.
Meh, for me... well I learned Jap, but it doesn't have anything to do with either hentai, anime or manga - I'm into video games.
The darker genres of hentai certainly burnt a deep hole into my soul though (read: Guro)

Anime, manga and japanese games has got me learning Japanese, I'm attending lessons this summer and most likely for awhile. I plan to go visit Japan some day, hopefully meet a Japanese girl or someone who loves Japan as much as me.

Aren't you forced to give up your dual citizenship if you are living in Japan permanently or you just there on visa? Like naturalization and what not?

I wish I live there. I don't have any skills that would grant me a work visa. Gotta get through school haha. Do you plan on going through the process of naturalization though?

I know what you mean, hentai scenes play in my mind when I'm in class and i think about it sometimes as well while bored in class.

nope, i have no interest of being a japanese citizen, and you don't need any skills to get a work visa, just a working knowledge of japanese and a clean record

It's been around for so long, I can't even tell if it shaped a section of my life.
I will say that if I can test a language test, Japanese could get me sent to NOT-Iraq (army).
Shit, I'd settle for Korea (since we're not at war tomorrow).

Anime has had a major impact on my life. One in particular, Neon Genesis Evangelion, shaped a large portion of the way I view the world and was what first got me into psychology. It was definitely a good thing, now that I look back on it.

As for me, without anime, I don't think I'd be a part of any sort of social circle. I'd also be bored 90% of the time. Anime is my main interest and has been for years. I don't like sports or have any other hobbies. I might have buried myself in schoolwork, but that would have been boring as all hell. I'd probably be more "sophisticated," reading classics of literature instead of manga, but I'd no doubt be a snobby, depressed loner that hates the world, at the same time. Anime's kept me light-hearted and fun-loving. Also, I met my current friends through my school's anime club, and we go to the local convention together every year. Without anime, I'd probably be stuck going to the crappy Renaissance fair every year. Not my bag, that's for sure.
