Was I In The Wrong

So today as I was pulling into the grocery store, a black Suburban with more chrome than google almost backed into me. He stopped when I honked the horn to let him know that I was behind him. This was followed by his horn and a nice Fuck you. I then yelled if he took off some of the Chrome on his car, he might be able to see out of the rear window. (I was almost blinded by the sight of his car.) I then pulled into the liquor store and was about to get out of my car when he pulled up, got out and slammed my door shut on me. The only way I could describe this guy is Mr. Clean on steroids. He started to say that he was going to beat me up, yadda yadda yadda, kick my ass, yadda yadda yadda. I think he was in a steroid rage because his veins were pulsing and very visible, plus he was more ripped than the hulk and my car shook every time he hit my window. After he finally left and rode away I exited my car only to be greeted with my side mirror shattering and falling to the ground. All I did to receive this reaction was honk my horn so his nice car wouldn't run into my crappy one and give him a little advice on how his car should look. I never cursed or raised my voice and I feel like I was wronged in this situation. I know where he works and I am considering paying him a visit. If I was his boss i would never want someone like that working for me.

Here's what I'm getting. He was mad that you honked (unacceptable) and angrier that you made a sarcastic comment about his car (acceptable). That being said, did you receive any actual detriment to your person? If not, then let it pass. Nothing good ever comes out of looking for trouble.

should of been caring an Uzi. doesnt matter how many sit ups you did that morning if someone pulls a gun on you

maybe you could set up a situation where something "unfortunate" happens to his car =P although there might be cameras in the premissis >.> anyway, i don't think you were wrong and based on your description of this guy cuz he does sound like an asshole. i hate to sound cliche but i believe karma will take care of him so don't stress it.

the key to dealing with morons like that is to understand that your car is a 2 ton missile, use it.

This is why people need tasers on them, to deal with roid-raged Mr. Cleans who don't know how to drive. Bad luck buddy, hope you have a taser on you the next time around. =D

you were not in the wrong just call 911 next time or have a weapon in your car (bat, mace, or taser)

You were in the right, if it was me i would have hit him with the car the second he smacked on mine, but thats just me, and yes people are assholes.

When ever i have a problem with an asshole in a car i use my valve stem tool.
it's used to remove the valve core from the stem.
I wait for the jerk to leave their car, then i unscrew them all. by the time i get to the last one, the first tire is empty. then i put them all back.

Could be worse. Something similar happened to me a while back. Except the guy didn't get all up in my face. He slashed my tires while I was in a store. Ah..Detroit...good times, good times.

meh, i bring a machete under my seat all the time!
he was in the actually, but then again you just gave him a finger without him even knowing the situation, (well, it might be acceptable still)...
as for the mr.clean on steroids, you needed that machete for breaking your side window

Carry a handgun. Just do it. It's for shit like that. Just get like a nice cheapish .45 and shit all over people who try to start something with you, especially when they are completely in the wrong such as in this case.
