Wasn't as nice as before

I was sitting here editing some h-manga and thinking about how things seem so good when you first go there, or when you first experience something.
Is it because you change or your expectations change, or even if what you thought was great isn't actually so great after all?
It could be work, a hobby, an electronic, people, etc.
Work recently really has me loathing of going in. I literally sit in my car in the parking lot before I have to go in. I do really like my job, but at the same time I really fucking hate going in some times.
But people, the job itself, and it overall just doesn't seem all that special anymore.
Though I have to add that I am very grateful for having a steady job right now.

Probably the same with everyone. After a while, you get bored of doing the same thing over and over again. Happens with school and it definitely happens with work. Even when you land the job of your dream, after a while, it'll start sucking and you'll want to move onto something else
Humans fear being stuck in a loop. But unfortunately, it happens. A lot.

Temp work is good, if you can survive the down time between jobs. if the job or the people start to suck, it's only temporary. sometimes, if the job turns out to be cool, you can get hired on as an acctual employee.

Drawing can be a downer, especially when you see too much talent out there to make you feel less special on the inside. But I'm still trying and hope to be pro one day.

I think humans are naturally striving for new things. Even though we may have our routines we are comfortable with, it does always feel good to step outside the box in one way, shape, or form. Why else does technology keep on advancing? Why else do we look forward to new anime? Why else do so many people cheat on their respective other?

I think that only applies to things (and people) whose only, or at least major, appeal is the excitement of novelty.
Things (and people) of true value endure as a monument, bringing lasting enjoyment exactly because they stay roughly the same.
why else do so many people cheat on their respective other?
Personality deficits, "or" having chosen a partner based solely on novelty value (=also a personality deficit).
Also, your job isn't supposed to be fun, goddammit! Except if you're the spawn of bill gates and can pretty much spend your days jerking off to koi carps swimming in diamond water.
Work is supposed to be a fight, a bloody, dirty, painstaking fight wherefrom you emerge perhaps not victorious, but with your hands full of [size=10][a tiny bit of][/h] gold.
Once you adopt that mindset, a comfortingly numb sensation quickly sets in, that makes the next 50 years of working yourself to death remotely bearable.

Well, there is that, but there are people in perfectly healthy relationships who still cheat.

Not.
What the hell is a perfectly healthy relationship anyway? What the hell is a healthy relationship? Sounds boring. Does it cure diseases?
EDIT: Fuck! Ass!

I'll agree with you there Gibbous. You're right, there are people and some things that are always nice no matter what.
Very good, May 14th will mark our one year living together. Things have continued to be as nice as the first day we moved in together.

This is exactly why mid-life crises come around.I thought that had something to do with hormonal changes, realizing that death is around the corner, the body being in decline, etc. pp.

Eh, I suppose that's part of it as well, but realizing when you're 40 that you might be stuck in a rut, prompting you to buy a sports car and inflatable supermodel to ride in the seat next to you sounds somewhat more reasonable.
