What age do people perceive you as?

This is to go along with the "how old are you" thread, as I notice a lot of people either get mistaken for older or younger than they really are.

I'm 23, but people perceive me as way younger than I really am. Like, still in high school young. I mentioned on the how old are you thread that I get concern trolls worrying that I'm not old enough to be working alone in a store selling alcohol. T_T Yesterday I went to the last day of the Orange County fair, and at the ID check to buy alcohol the lady stared at me a loooooong time, then at my id, then back at me for a looooooong time, then back at my id, before finally believing that I was over 21 and giving me that wristband that says I can buy mah margaritas. Mmm, overpriced margaritas and fair food, yum.

Teh bf, on the other hand, gets mistaken for older than he is even though he's actually younger than I am. They think he's about 26 or 27, and they never card him, whereas they card me all the time and they scrutinize my ID like it's fake or something.

So how old do people think you are? Is it younger, older, or around the same as your real age?

Talking to people online who can't see me believe I'm around 40 years old. Anyone who's seen me thinks I'm in my early 20's. I am currently 19 years old.

People percieve me as late 20's. But im actually early 20's. WTF...LOL. Its all good, though. Im fine with it.

I am 20 but people think I look around 16 years old. I almost always have to show my ID whenever I go to the pub for a brew.

When I have a beard people usually think im around my mid 20s, except for the fact that im so short

People think I'm older then I am not because of my phyisical appearence but because of my maturity.

i still get carded at bars. that why i grew the older style goatee

When I was in highschool I was never carded, gambled at casinos, went to clubs, not once.

Now that I'm 26 I have been carded a lot more often...

...Probably because I show less cleavage in my "old" age...

It varies. I'm 19 and some people think that I'm 16-17 while others think I'm in my mid-twenties. Odd.

im 21 people think im 16 some times even 15, thats why i havent been able to get a job.

well if i dont shave, people would say that i look like a young dad... (lol)
if i did... even my friends would say that i look like a sophomore in highschool
