I believe you're just doing fine. If studies are really your priority, then go for it if it makes you happy. But then again, don't just judge people based on where (or what school) they came from.

Come to think of it, how did you know they were stupid if you didn't talk to them much, if at all? Doesn't really make much sense, if you ask me.Silica wrote...
This other school is an inferior school to mine, and it is filled with potential dropouts. I find that rather repulsive. I doubt the op knows most of the students that go to the "inferior" school and is judging them based on his arrogance and biased opinion.
With that being said, I just remembered one anime character that is in an anime relevant to the thread topic.

Humility? Who needs it? It's derived off the word humiliation. I refuse to be humiliated, this Alpha Male shall always triumph :D. I was so agape at your post that I had to look this up.
Yes, the noun form of humility is based on humiliation, but they're two very different things. Humility is understanding your flaws and accepting that you're human, and trying to be competent regardless. Humiliation is to feel shame and despair at your own shortcomings, to an unproductive extent.
I really feel like humility is important. It's a part of the human experience to understand that none of us are perfect, no matter how superior one may be in any one particular field.
That being said, I maintain that the OP's view of his friend's 'friends' is a little distorted and could use some adjusting. A terrible school is a terrible school but the students who attend are human beings, individuals that deserve at least a chance to display their competence or lack thereof.
The fact that the very suggestion of a casual game of sport would cause such arrogant outrage... that's a problem.
Politely declining in favor of academic excellence is perfectly acceptable. You should never do something unless you want to,
but to tell your friend off for 'the very suggestion that I would ever consider fraternizing with such degenerates' maaaaaakes you sound like a bloated blow-hard.

No, you were pretty rude to them.
I'm not really defending them per say...maybe they were acting like bimbos. But that whole "high and mighty" act is very disrespectful, and by the sounds of it, it doesn't seem they actually did anything wrong to deserve that type of treatment. They wanted to play a bit of ball- so what? It sounds like you have a hard time adjusting to spontaneity. Even though it didn't go "according to plan", you're gonna have to learn to go with the flow at times. You could have studied later...30 minutes of play time won't make much of a difference.
You didn't handle it well. :/

Albeit studying is much better than having to entertain two girls you couldn't care for at all, it would've most likely been a better show of character had you'd stayed and studied afterwards with friends. You made the better personal decision, but kinda looked like an ass. It doesn't matter, in the end, but I would've just decided to humor the situation.

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought his post was absolutely ridiculous, but what else do you expect from a self-proclaimed "genius"? :/
Basically, OP - stop being a dick. Judge everyone on a one-by-one basis rather then proclaiming a huge group of people to be one way or another. You're going to live a very isolated and unhappy life if you continue to think that way about people you don't even know.
