I'm fine with the Republic of the US. Just would prefer that we actually call it that instead of a Democracy, which it isn't. I do however, wish regular people had some leverage over elected officials other than choosing which ones to elect.
The inland empire capital is Holtsville.

I feel like it's worth mentioning that America isn't a democracy and it doesn't try to hide it.
Remember the pledge of allegiance? "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
To get back on topic, I'd like to see an actual Federalist system that doesn't get fucked up by a two party system. And no, not direct democracy like California because they are a prime example of how democracy can go wrong. There needs to be power granted to the states so they can make decisions for their own states rather than having blanket decisions from a larger government.
America has a long standing problem that originates from the fact that around 90% of incumbents get reelected there are congressman that have been in the Government for over 60 years which causes a HUGE issue of staleness and really hits home the fact that nothing is ever going to change. You have the people hungering for something different but they keep on electing the same people without even giving a second thought to it. But in a country as huge as America true democracy is hard, if not impossible to succeed. Washington and other founding fathers warned of a two party system emerging and it did not take long for it to emerge with the Federalists and Anti-federalists.
Frankly, I am still almost positive that within my life time America will finally snap and end up in a revolt of the Working Middle Class vs Dependent class with the upper class still sitting there still reaping the benefits.
