what happened to Ben10?

Ben 10 Alien Force and Ultimate Alien is not as good as the original Ben 10 series. Alien Force has a weaker Ben,Gwen's personality and powers are completely different from the original series,and why is Kevin helping them? I thought they were going to start the new season with Ben 10,000 but they did not. If you haven't already figured it out I hate what Ben 10 has become.
