What is you favorite Rock subgenre?????

I generally have not heard of most of this, I do know I like Indie though.

Progressive has been my favorite flavour as of late.
Was listening to the ''Close to the edge'' album yesterday. Oh how i love Yes.

I don't mind dabbling in most genres though, i had a huge hard-on for ska-core in my youth and i'm still a ska-punk fan. went to see Reel Big Fish last year, what a night!

I'm quite close to Canterbury and there's still a lot of proggish stuff going on down there.
for example:

I listen to a pretty wide variety, but my favorite bands would usually fall under punk, and I'm also a big fan of music with Celtic and other folk-type influences.

Hell yeah.

That pretty much goes double for me.

Spock's Beard makes me especially "happy."

My eyes must be deceiving me, but I don't see classic rock up there....

It's a juggle between Progressive (sub-genre post) and Psychedelic.

I love all genres, but mostly that's what I listen to, so I listed it. I think all genres have tendencies to be good, but it's up to the band.
