What is your favourite dere?

Why is yandere winning? Perhaps I'm in the minority by having had the experience of actually being with yandere, but it's much less of a picnic than the results would argue.

They're delusional and want to believe that a yandere being loyal is all that should ever matter.

They must be educated to the horror... They may be naive but that doesn't mean they should walk directly over a landmine because I did.

Actually... the people I talk to need no education to horror. They revel in it. They know exactly how dangerous a yandere is and are willing to even be one back because they're so obsessed with them as well.

Of course, another factor that could be stated is that you don't like yandere and just had the misfortune of dating one. :^

Actually, I was delusional myself, I thought undying loyalty was a great plus and that things would work out, it was only after the experience of being suffocated that woke me from the delusion. That's the part you don't see though, at least in my experience. You don't see the NSA like surveillance, the sabotage of completely non-threatening personal relationships, the attempts at hypnopaedic indoctrination, the sabotage to advancing in life because you may "leave them". Yandere will hold you back, they'll bring your life to ruin just so they can be with you. You don't see yandere destroying study materials, blocking communications with family (including small children), getting people fired from jobs, and otherwise impeding progress in life. That's the point I want to get across though, yandere will ruin your life and bring you to a point that they're all you have in life, they'll cripple you and block your advancement in life if it means that they can have you all to themselves. I want this to be a warning though, not a "you're wrong for enjoying that", but a "you really ought to know this and reconsider. If you continue to like it knowing all of this then that's your choice, but don't say that nobody briefed you about what you're getting into." I get that you're saying everyone has different personal tastes, but not everyone (at least not the younger me who fell into that mess) is aware that it's so self-destructive.

If you go for it in reality, don't say you weren't warned about it. You won't only get your fingers burned from playing with this fire, the white hot intensity of their entirely too strong love will burn away anything in their path. If love is a flame, Tsundere is a gasoline fire, hot, intense and can burn you if you aren't careful, but yandere is thermite. It burns hotter than anyone I know can actually handle and it will almost always burn you. Just a friendly warning about it.
