Hm, I would indeed say that my life is a toss-up.
My unofficial profession includes microelectronic repair and cross-platform software troubleshooting and security.
I am moderately skilled in mircoelectronic repair, but in my opinion I am extremely skilled in recovery, security, and also troubleshooting of cross-platform software, specializing in, but not limited to, windows 95, 98 including SE, 2000, Server 2003, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
I also have sufficient troubleshooting experience with relatively user-friendly linux builds such as Debian and Ubuntu, and also some limited experience working with the open-sourced OS Solaris.
I refuse to work on Apple-based computers unless it is a personal request from a good friend, because of hardware incompatibility issues and software sensitivity.
...now, as for my official profession, which is the path I ultimately want to, and plan to take, I am currently a returning undergraduate college student, majoring in English Literature and Education, minoring in Japanese Culture and Creative Writing. I have plans for spring term of 2012, hastily thrown together last night but well-thought out before hand, to start at Portland Community College in Oregon, USA again, but as a Freshman, despite having attended classes there previously.
I plan to learn to speak Japanese somewhat proficiently and fluently by the end of my first year of study, so that when I start my second year Japanese courses, I can more easily find allies to study alongside and also have a higher success rate of creating connections in order to study abroad, once I acquire my Transfer Associate's Degree in the Arts.
I have also realistically planned ahead and created a budget in Japanese yen, not US dollars, in order to make my stay in Japan while a student as pain-free as possible. I will be forced to make adjustments to this budget along the way, but I have laid my ground rules, which is nice, in my opinion.
In Japan, I will also begin learning the Korean language, because I plan to transfer my abroad studies there once I start postgraduate studies.
Eventually, once I attain a Bachelor's Degree in the Fine Arts in Japan, and a Masters in the Fine Arts in Korea, I plan to become an English Language teacher in one of those countries.
Well, that's all for now, Hopefully I might update this post later.
As a sidenote - I do my (unofficial) professional recovery, repair and troubleshooting for only 5 US Dollars per task. If you need help and are interested in what I can do, contact me via email at zerotones@gmail.com
I charge the 5 US Dollars only after aforementioned task has been completed successfully, but if I cannot fix it within 24 hours, the problem will be fixed for free. That is my business guarantee and a part of my condition of liability and fees contract.
Have a great 2012 everyone, I hope to see many more interesting and exciting things here on fakku forums.
