What the fuck happened to random?

I think this is worth talking about. Every time I'm on Fakku, the same shit is on the random front page.



Those are the most popular topics on Random.

I posted a picture appreciation thread, where people could post pictures and attempt to discuss their artistic merits. Fakku has weighed artistic appreciation against threads such as "Random places you have masturbated" and decided that the "Random places you have masturbated" threads belong in Random, and artistic appreciation is Incoherent Babbling.

I'm pretty sure I've posted in all of those at least once. Don't see a reason to go back and post again and again, though.

I've posted in some of those threads as well, but that's beside the point. I've been Fakkuza for a long time and Random used to be different. Random used to be a place where you posted genuinely random shit. You might've wanted to get responses, but Random was just a repository for things that people couldn't keep to themselves. Just go to the random section and look at what people used to post.

Way back when, mods knew the difference between Random and IC. I'm not a mod because I don't want any responsibility, but if I was, I'd adhere to the standards that made Fakku respectable.

The only thread I "frequent" here is Post your pics. I don't bother with the rest. This section reeks of underage. I don't even know why I'm here.

All that plus masturbation threads, im guilty of posting a lot in the common threads.

Slowly turning into Chat Topics and Forum Games

They just probably want to increase their maximum post by posting in those threads, because it seems like a Game Thread but in Random.

BECAUSE POSTING WITH INTELLIGENT CONTENT IS TOO MAINSTREAM.

A lot of the threads on the first page really should be in CTFG.

I don't have much experience with Fakku to compare what Random use to be against what it is, but I can say that people here seem to have a slight disdain towards new topics that require ten seconds of thinking before writing. This is just my assumption and, if it happens to be true, I hold it as the reason why remotely interesting threads die in a few days and threads that require a quick answer, such as the insignificant things threads, are being fed on a regular basis even though they have no content and most of those posts go unread.

I can make other assumptions though, most of them shots in the dark. Sometimes I think that people have shallow opinions and/or won't have their opinions threatened. I remember noticing this on my «Fap Cleansing» thread where most people answered with hateful comments towards "society", missing the main point of the discussion. Maybe they are stupid, maybe they didn't want to think, maybe they didn't read, maybe they were bored and wrote the first thing they could think of, maybe they were in a rush to wank, I don't know.

It's probably because the topics you mentioned are something everyone can relate to , need little input, and/or little intelligence. Topics like 'One insignificant thing that made my day bad' and 'what are you wearing' can be personal blog threads which are easy to talk about. People can also lie and farm post count if that's another case.

Random is probably the reason why users who have been here maybe 5 or 6 months can spam their way to elder status. Because, yeah, blog topics.

I dislike the masturbation threads because there's so many. Guilty of posting in a few though.




There is no Elite or Elder anymore, now there's achievements so you can show everybody online that you did.

That's why I just stopped posting in Random, pretty weird. I think one of the reasons some people did it was so they have a topic that lives on.

What should be said have been saying,every threads that are posted on daily should belong to ctfg.Also about the appreciation pics,you should put that in nosebleed in the first place,the section itself still mainly aim at fapping materials but any threads about non hentai related images is acceptable as well.This was confirmed by The Creator in one of those sticky topics so you dont have anything to worry about breaking any rules here.
