What to do in Japan?
0
So I'm going to Japan on Friday, and I was wondering where I should go and what food I should eat. Any suggestions?
Also what would you do if you could go to Japan?

Depends on the city/cites your going too.
Tokyo: There a ramen place in Shibuya station that cheap and really good.
Shinjuku Ni-chome there a bar with excellent yaki soba and grill food with good beer... it's in the gay district.
Pretty much there great places to eat on the sly dime if you can read there menu and understand $ to yen.. 1$ is roughy 100 yen(really it 81 yen to the dollar)
Go to Akihabara and Kinokuniya and Mandrakes in Shinjuku and i think there one in Akiba.
Go to the Castles and imperial place, see the cherry blossom if their still there or the wind(doujin) in Kiba my friend work there.

KIDDYLAND! Not cheap stuff, but lots of quality toys and merch.
Six floors of greatness. Go even just for the experience if you're not into spending much on such items.

Don't just visit the major landmarks; try Japan's rural areas too. You will probably see how different they are from your imagination.

Soapland girl and bukakke fest.I remember reading a book called Tokyo Vice recently that stated most of those sex shops don't actually allow foreigners. Totally bummed me out, that's one of the major reasons I'd actually visit Tokyo if I ever went.

Find an objective first: Do you want to have fun, do you want to educate yourself, or do you want to have a spiritual experience? Those are just starter questions, maybe your interested in art or music or food.
After that, try to branch out from that. That's really all I can say. You could take the train all over the country and just pick random stops. But youse a nerd, you definitely should go to Akihabara. Try using the public baths, Drive a car, go to a love hotel and have sex with a local, visit the Tokyo convention center, go to karaoke, pick a fight, go look at a school (or maybe that's not such a good idea), find a job, buy some JPN only games, take pictures of interesting things and upload them, go to a Midnight release of a game, try their pizza (seriously, try it), gather a group of people and dance hare hare yukai, walk around in residential neighborhoods, go to a park, go clubbing, and most importantly make friends.
Now you didn't say how long you were going to be there but if it's for a few days, expend all your energy making the most of it. Keep a pocket notebook with you and write down stuff that you've done you think is significant. Don't stay at your house. Be active.

see if mt midoriyama really exists. Get lost. If you visit a foreign country, you must get lost, and you must enjoy it immensely. Otherwise you wasted your time. Hit on a real japanese chick. do it for the sake of the millions of victims of yellow fever. May my brother rest in peace :'(
