Where is anyone?
Also I was wondering, older users might not post as much anymore, but why aren't newer users posting loads like we used to? Does the forum just not drive much traffic?

You would think with the forums still being free, and Discord isn't actively advertised as far as I can tell, that they would get more activity. Perhaps it's the forum sections themselves? The ones we have now feel stale, somehow.
I feel as if the lack of an active moderation team encouraging a community might also have something to do with it. The main difference between the forums' hayday and now is active moderators. And the decline of an active community I feel ties in to the gradual departure of the mods. In any community, active moderators tend to encourage activity whether they intentionally do so or not, even if that community only admires that moderator because they hold some form of power on the website. Or in Antw0n's case, horny for Tegumi's feet. Everyone has also experienced cunty moderators, so a moderator that's down to Earth tends to get their praises sung which helps the overall reputation of the platform, so they are essentially the face of the platform they're on. Without anyone like that right now, nothing is being encouraged. Community's sort of left to its own devices and left to stagnate.
In my experience with reporting spambots, the current state of the moderation takes quite a while to respond. I might be exaggerating here but I feel like I could post a thread of nothing but gore, and it probably wouldn't get noticed at for at least a week unless someone directly lets someone know over in the Discord server.

I've only been here a year, so I can only speak from my experience and my observations.

I literally didn't know that there was a Discord server. So that should say something. Is the Discord even active? Do other people who comment on releases or on the forums here even go to the Discord?

I think these two points are important. The only active threads here is the FAKKU Cafe and the What are you listening to right now? threads. The latter is just for music recommendations and the former only has three or so people posting on it consistently (I'm not hating on the cafe, this is just what I observed). I've been noticing some interesting threads in the Incoherent Babbling section like the What got you into hentai? and the First Doujin threads which were cool while they lasted but outside of those, there's nothing much. I'd say if there was a mod encouraging for more activity, or at least if there were mods who posted a greater variety of thread topics, the forums would be more active.
Lastly, when I signed up here I only viewed FAKKU as a place to go read hentai legitimately, not as a place to go shoot the shit on the forums. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Feedback, Suggestion, Support and Comics sections are the most active on the forums. I feel that newer users like myself place more emphasis on the hentai on FAKKU since we are paying to read it, and with the forums being so stale there is no interest in trying to be active there. I feel that this can be remedied though by doing the things Gravity cat hinted at: More advertisement for both the forums and the Discord, fresh topics, and mods who encourage active participation.

I do agree that there isn't much on the forums to draw new people in. It took me as well years to actually get active here back when I was still new myself, with less than 20 posts in the first couple of years. What eventually got me to participate more was the second MoteMote event (sat out the first as well as it needed a user to have 15 posts to submit their bracket, and I couldn't even be bothered to do that), finally bringing me to show my support for the characters, from there brought the waifu thread, still in its first incarnation, to my attention, and eventually led me to various other threads, of which the café still remains my home here until now. The 12 Days of Onaholes giveaways also used to bring people to the forums for a moment, although being part of Front Page News instead of MoteMote's IB, they never quite resulted in this kind of long-term visitors as the event didn't require as much user interaction and the section itself simply didn't have other threads to keep the people's interest after that one post.

It gets a fair amount of activity when there's active conversation, it's far more active than the forums. But some channels can go days without anyone speaking in there.
Discord has the advantage of being an instant messenger; you don't need to refresh the page to see new posts and responses don't require two page loads. Which is why I find it odd that it's not advertised.

Jacob linked me to this post a few weeks ago and I honestly missed his message.
I was super active until around the time FAKKU turned into a legit publishing company. A month or two before that, I'd accepted a job opportunity that had great benefits, promotion potential, and pay. If memory serves, Jacob got in touch with me to tell me about the new business venture and to gauge my interest in coming aboard, but by that time I was far along enough in my job that I couldn't up and leave, especially because I had signed a contract, and myself and my fam needed the benefits.
I still visit the site fairly regularly, though I admit I don't peruse the forums like I used to. I really do miss the time I was able to spend doing scans, goofing around on the forums, and interacting with everyone. There's a FAKKU-shaped hole in my heart that I just don't have enough time to fill anymore and it makes me sad sometimes.

My opinion, from over 20 years of internetting, is that forums are just losing popularity in general, especially with the structure/format of places like Reddit, Instagram, and whatever else is hip these days. I find myself spending less and less time on other message boards I've frequented for over 15 years, now, despite the relatively small community there.
As for raze, he moved on to go study the medical field and presumably has been so busy doing that kind of work that any other hobbies probably fell to the wayside.
Sorry I missed this thread; I hope you get to read it.
