Curious and Wondering
I have very diverse tastes in music. I listen to Jpop, JRock, Visual Kei (these three composes 45-50% of my IPod), American Hip-Hop, American Rap, British Pop, Chinese music, Korean Pop, Cantonese classical music, American Rock, Country Music, Power Ballads, Filipino Rock, Grunge Rock. Those are just the major genres.
Browsing through my IPod would reveal a few more. Yuki Kajiura soundtracks. Bjork. Yo-Yo Ma classical violin performances. Piano instrumentals. Enya. Macy Gray. Rammstein. 60's-70's music. Toni Braxton. Weird Al Yankovic.

I can stand to listen to about anything except country, gospel and rap. However, I pretty much stay with metal, rock and it's variants (mostly Progressive.)
Green Carnation = Prog Metal
Spock's Beard = Prog Rock
Two favorite bands for sure. XD

I'm pretty much genre-agnostic. Can't stand hip-hop and metal for the most part and chart-sludge makes me laugh at best, but generally I try to keep an open mind. Nearly anything goes, so long as it's high quality.

I'm your typical audiophile. I love music and listen to almost every genre. Except for rap which is uninspired crap. I also hear exactly when a song is of bad quality as in badly compressed. I hate it even when a song has even a little bad quality I instantly dislike it and search for a better quality version.
My list of genres can be incomplete and some of them are subgenres. But still different from the main genres in a significant way:
- Hard Trance
- Trance
- Hardstyle
- Techno
- Ambient
- Drum&Bass
- Breakcore (Subgenre of DnB)
- Hardcore
- Metal
- Rock
- Hard Rock
- Trash Metal
- Nu Metal
- Black Metal
- Death Metal
- Industrial Metal (Rammstein anyone?)
- J-Rock
- J-Metal
- J-Pop
- Eurodance
- Alternative Rock
- Rapcore (Rap with Metal)
- Classical music. (You know, bach, mozart or newer artists.)
- R&B (Some songs.)
- Pop (Some songs.)
- Probably some more.
If you are wondering why I didn't just say pretty much every genre is because there waaaay more genres. You'll be surprised by how many.

Can't really say genre-wise, my music taste changes over the years. Some constants though, mainly being metal, punk, and classical.
Currently listening to L'esprit Du Clan's newest album, Chapitre 4 L'enfer c'est le notre; and some Korean pop as well.

I'm really into 60s, 70s and 80s music. I like rock and alternative, J-pop and anime soudtracks. If I listen to something for a while, I'll probably like that one band, but not the whole genre. ^^; my sister listens to sreaming heavy metal, which I usually don't like, but I overhear it so much I've started to like some of the bands/songs she listens to.

I'm not "into" it myself, but I grew up listening to a lot of 50s, 60s and 70s rock. XD

im into alternative and punk mostly. i don't really like the new songs coming out so i stick to the ones that came out when i was in high school (songs by bands like incubus, lifehouse, third eye blind, a perfect circle, blink 182 etc. etc.) im kinda liking j-rock (influenced by my girl) even though i can't understand what they're singing about i have to find translations for em (right now im listening to songs by asian kung fu generation, plastic tree and dir en grey)
