for just yourself and no one else what do you usually make? something simple and easy, say sandwich machine pizza (bread pizza sauce and cheese in a sandwich machine)? Or is it sophisticated as all get out like a freakin 5 course fine dining experience?
is it the same for all 3 meals? breakfast: scrambled eggs lunch: quesadilla dinner: hamburger helper... simple simple simple
or breakfst: eggs benedict lunch: steak tacos dinner: 20oz porterhouse... fancy and complicated and time consuming
I ask because i want to proove a friend wrong: he said im the only person in california that eats like a fucking king for every meal, which is almost true. i do have simple meals once in a while and other times i eat out... but i degress,
what i want to know is if im the onky one who budgets $500/monthly for the good stuff and takes the extra time to make it for 90% of the meals i eat, even though im single and rerely have company...

When i just cook for myself.. because i don't wanna mess up the kitchen to be clean again, sausage and onions sandwich or salami and coppa plate... better.. takeout.

this is my typical day:
meal 1: 3 boiled eggs (sometimes yolk removed), 1 fresh tomato sliced (and salt / peppered), 1 slice of whole grain toast
meal 2: 1 slice of toast, fresh spinach, 2 slices of turkey, a little light mayo, a slice of processed cheese
meal 3: chicken soup, diced tofu, 2 eggwhites, bok choy, mixed veggies (carrots, corn, peas mix)
meal 4: stir fry of some sort (often involving some kind of asian veggies, shiritaki noodles, seasonings)
meal 5: chocolate protein shake
