What sites/newspapers/blogs do you usually get your news from?
I'm a bit sick of seeing too much journalism with a "spin" or PR.
I'm open for suggestions although I'd like to know what sets them apart.
[edit] It'd be nice if you would refrain from saying something like "local newspaper, radio, or local tv station" without actually giving out names.

The Onion. It may be satirical, but some of it sounds true.
I just use the MSN homepage when I check my email. I usually never really give it more of a passing glance, however.

I use my phone as I do not listen to the radio nor do I watch television. Rarely I may get the news off of yahoo when I check one of my emails or MSN when I rarely again, use internet explorer.

The onion is actually a pretty decent way to get a quick skim of what's going on. As slanted and hilarious as the Drudge Report is, it's also a decent way to quickly get an idea of what's going on (if you don't read into the headlines too closely.) BBC, Al-Jazeera, Reuters if I see something I wanna sit down and read about.

TheBlaze, Local News and Yahoo. But I've been lacking going to those websites recently, it's getting harder to read news.

I use foreign news channels with TV. BBC and DW-TV Journal/Focus,
Google news for text, mostly only look at tech, science, and world,
and youtube new science/technology channels, occasional world event as well.
-BBC = (British) Unbiased towards US political interest, and covers world events with little bias.
-DW-TV = (German) Same as BBC.
-Google = Gives me random and easily accessible articles.
-Youtube = Hard to explain, great info, a lot of, entertaining, condense and well vocalized, unbiased.

One of the reasons why I made this thread was because I was starting to pic up on the BBC's "slanted" journalism.
Although someone mentioned Al-Jazeera, so I'll check that out.

Google news, and a daily pdf file from a seaman's Mission for the local news.
Yahoo is just too unreliable. I just read it for the comments and lulz.

I don't know what's going on with the world anymore.
I just happen to hear about current events from people online.

Facebook, fakku and occasionally the news, if I am watching it (which isn't very often)
