I know there was a thread similar to this before, but:
OK, so I was using fl studio 9 for a while back there, and made some alright songs.. and recently I reformatted my pc, and lost all my data, so i downloaded fl 10.. it was different and a little weird.. so i thought while i was at it, i'd download reason 5... turns out reason is completely different to fl.. like, i have no idea what the fuck anything is..
So i'm curious.. What would you prefer? FL, Reason, Abelton?
I'm looking to use something that is pretty easy to get.. and is similar to fl 9 in style of user friendlyness.. since reason isn't... at all...
Also, i had a sliced beats thing.. not entirely sure what it was called, but it had club kicks, trance kicks, lots of different drum sounds, and synth sounds.. no idea what it was called >

fair enough, i'll keep to it... any reccomended VCE plugins? preferably drums and such for better sounding drums, as FPC doesn't work overly well :|

FL Studio is great because it's not hard to learn.
I myself use it.
And if you want sounds have you tryed Essentials?
There are some great Essentials packs and if you get one you can just mix around with the sound to make it sound more like a self-made sound other than a pack sound.

For a course I did a while back, we used Logic Pro 9, Cubase 4 and Pro Tools. All had their own benefits.
Logic and Cubase is more for using virtual synths, while Pro Tools is better for actual instrument recording. But to answer your question, I haven't used any of those programmes.
