Why won't guys commit to marriage?

I been commited for four years now. Plus men weren't designed to be monogamist. We're suppose to fuck every woman we meet.

as evoled, rational, self aware beings, it should be no problem. any male who can't commit to one partner is not a 'man' in my opinion.

Technically, what matters is that your genes are carried into the next generation. Trying to spread your seed far and wide is one approach, focusing on having children with just one or a few woman is another. The advantage of the former is quantity, while the latter allows quality, as such a father can try to ensure that his offspring actually grows up to be able to spread their genes in turn.

Saying that "all" men have a behavioural predisposition towards the former approach is a bit of a sweeping generalization.

On Topic: Because it is a radical change, some people have problems with radical change. Also, some men tend to view it as an end of their freedom as it means they are likely to be stuck with that woman, for better or worse, which can be a scary thought to some.

I would like to say, however, that some women have the very same problems, only it is much less talked about for various reasons. For one thing, usually when a woman is afraid of commitment this is actually interpreted to mean that she does not really like the man she is together with, even though the "problem", so to speak, lies with her and not him.

not all guys have commitment issues. From my side of the line, over 50% of the girls i've been with have cheated on me.. so does that mean all girls cheat? no. don't generalise.
besides, as said above, the amount of women with commitment issues is about the same. it's not soley guys.

But still, some guy are just assholes who think with their dick, and not with their brains, therefore they fuck the nearest thing with boobs. i also have the problem of most of the local guys my age are all dumb as dogshit.. and are all fucking bogans.

So a man in theory can impregnated 734.4 women in the time of one or two children from a woman.

I was going off biological and not sociological reasons for cheating. I have a deep seeded need to have sex with every woman i meet... the reason i don't is i have a nice control over my Id or who i call freak. Btw the way all humans have three personalty: Ego, Super ego and id.. i just named them:

I have a perfectly normal and reasonable thought process... cheating is wrong. I have a semi open relationship with my woman. I never cheated on her once... because we both have sex with the other person. Plus she likes girls.. i like guys.. can't stop who you are because your in a relationship. She knew who the guy was.. i knew who the girl was.. also long is i agree or the same with her... no problems. Of course this isn't for everyone nor should it be a marriage tool. I been her friend for 10 years before we got together. We had sex many time when we were friends..

Saying "the entire human species" is again problematic because each person is an individual, with an individual genetic and psychological makeup. Humanity generally expresses more variety than most animals and as such making a claim that anything is "wired" into all of humanity is hard to prove. Even sexual attraction (which is usually the reason for non-monogamous behaviour, but by no means the only one) is not present in everyone, see asexual individuals. There are a lot of behaviours that humans are capable of that are not "supposed" (as far as evolution can "suppose" anything) to be made use of under all circumstances. We are just as "designed" to "think something through" as being willing to disregard anything else to "hunt DAT ASS".

As for cultural norms; the way you phrased it makes it sound as if they are outside laws or influences that are forced on us from some other power. It is more likely, though, that they are just extensions of our natural inclinations and capabilites. They do not came from nowhere, but because they agreed with the personal preferences and perceptions of either a majority of people in a given place/time or powerful individuals. Establishing cultural norms, for better or worse, is more "wired" into human nature than being non-monogamous. The former is an imperative of human existence, the latter just one way of many ways human nature can express itself.
