Will an ati radeon 5850 fit into my case and motherboard

Basically my parents brought me this computer which came with the 4850. Heres the picture of the motherboard

here are two different angles of what my computer looks inside

and

It looks like i got length clearance
The only thing I see that is blocking my way is the two sata cables and a jumble of wires which I can rearrange. But I have no idea if I got clearance on my DIMM slots next to the card. The other question is that with six sata slots, can I just move those two connectors to the next ones over to make room for it? Or are those sata connectors just for those two slots?
Asus IPIBL-LB
Core 2 Quad Q9300
8gb ddr2 ram
ati radeon 4850
1TB SATA 3G
windows 7

It looks like a tight squeeze to get an 5850 in but you should be able to do it with a bit of fancy cable routing.
Just make sure you have space for the double width card.

That's is what I initially thought. It's going to be a tight squeeze. I was wondering whether I have clearance next to my DIMM slots so the card wont be touching those ram holder things.
Question 2 is to the sata connectors. I have 2 sata connectors that are obstructing my way. Is it alright to move those sata connectors to the 4 other sata slots that are open?

The length of the 4850 and the 5850 are the same. The 5850 is a double width card however, so make sure you have space for a double PCI bracket (judging by the case it looks like you do). THe link you provided is broken. Do you have the model of the PC? I can give you a better idea if it will work or not.

Don't take people's advice, measure it yourself by using the listed dimension of the card. Also make sure your power supply is up to snuff.

I did ask a techie about this. Hypothetically it should fit. The fp 1394 and the power connector button will be literally under the card cause of its massive heatsink, but should fit. Still really nervous about getting it and fitting it right.

Having worked on these HP machines before I can feel for you man. They're damn tight fits and generally are a paint to work with but they're better than the old models that's for sure.

As people seem to have said, it looks like it will fit, both in the case and on the mobo, but the question is the airflow, can get pretty damn hot in there with all the cables. What PSU do you have? When running a HD5850, a 750W (or at least 650W) PSU could be wise. Also, having a modular one (where you can remove the cables you do not use) makes it a bit tidier and eases the airflow.

Tight, but possible. Get ready to move a lot of cords, and don't expect it to go in easily. Having a large cooler on my graphics card makes it really difficult to fit it in there among all the cords, I expect the same for you. Ethil is right on the Power Supply, it has to at least be above 500 Watts if you even expect a 5850 to run, even then it's a gamble. From an HP Quad Core, I'd expect that it won't have the power to run a 5850, and would at most be around 450 Watts.
Second piece of advice, wait till April to buy your 5850, because then Nvidia's GTX 400 series will have been launched by then. You could save a good deal of money, because ATI's cards right now are very much, overpriced.
