Hi,
just register to say...WTF ARE THIS PRICE?!? i bought doujinshi directly at Comiket, or Book-off, or in any other store that were use or new, the price was at max 5 bucks, AT MAX, why here cost 15 bucks?
yeah they are translated and on server, and i understand that, but brought up the price at more then double just no....
shame on you and shame on the people who give you money, it cost me less to fly to Japan tomorrow and buy it from there

even in japan doujinshi can cost 1000 to 1200 yen if they have enough pages. add on to that the crazy inflation and bad conversion rates of the japanese yen (1 euro here in the eu gets you over 170 yen atm, which is crazy) and you end up with 15 bucks for doujinshi with 100+ pages. but seeing how you ignore all of that and only compare the most expensive 100+ pages doujinshi with "normal" 20 to 30 pages doujinshi that only cost 6 to 7 bucks translated, shows that you are disingenuous and pretentious and only want to start drama lmao
just go elsewhere if you can't/don't want to afford what's on offer. you won't be missed.

let's take for example Karasu-chan "Strange Goddesses", here it cost 12,95 Euros, in Japan the collection "Strange Goddesses" new in Akihabara (which it cost more because Akihabara) it cost me 800yen, so 4,68 euros.
so the physical version, with all the printing and shipping with shop expense, it costed me 4,68 euros so, something like 0,02 cent for page;
the online version where there is no physical, it can denied access when and how it want, it cost 12,95 euros, something like 0,07 cent for page;
let's take another example, take Mizone with "Monster Romance", same as before, Akihabara ecc ecc
Physical versione it costed me 1150 Yen - 6,73 euros;
here it cost 9,95 euros;
it's incredible how , let's say, "ignore the fact" people can be online.
you pay to read something online, where it should cost less (see videogame) and you are happy about it!
i'm talking for everyone, but if you like to pay more to have less be my guess.
ps: i didn't explain on which one in the preview message, sorry about that. i watched other books but it's the same for all of them - and the example up in this message are all on the same books;

I am questioning what you mean with the $5 unless you're talking about Japanese language digital print of the dojin... but I can tell you no physicals don't cost that cheap unless you buy them directly from Japan physically. Or you're lucky enough to have a person in Japan that you can proxy ship it to them and they can send you to you as a bulk send off. I mean not all the stuff is 500 yen which is sort of five bucks American when you factor in that most stores do not send overseas you have to use a process proxy pay to shippings which one of them is a quite happy one even if it's Sal or EMS. The sites you can buy hentai or even physical Goods and ship overseas are very limited to a few used resellers and certain items you can get off Japanese Amazon which they barely started allowing foreigners to buy anime and physical form and sometimes manga.
That $5 item is really five dollars plus whatever the proxy service charges Plus shipping to the Japanese location then shipping overseas which for a single comic could be 35 bucks maybe less if you go with uninsured cell which might arrive 2 weeks to 2 months later. I mean there's a few us-based websites that can buy certain stuff for you and none of them are going to be $5 even though that's the Japanese price for that single comic. I mean I bought a comic off of student site and that cost 1999 for the book with shipping from Japan but they act as the buyer in proxy so it was a lot cheaper. If I bought it off assurance site with the name of a fruit it would have cost me more like 40..
Also the prices are set by that publisher not fakku you might want to talk to them about that
There's a few physical prints on here they probably ran out by now but they were mostly for the only mother daughter and fukku box. I mean I did buy an extra suitcase for my items the last time I went to Japan for Comiket. I was planning to go back in 2020 but something happened so now I doubt I ever get to go back since no point of going somewhere I can't actually physically see and read since I'm now so blind that I'm actually typing this out via voice chat. I don't got 4 hours to write this by hand making mistakes by mistakes off topic but still.
Edit
Since I missed the the part where you were referring to the manga printed in Japan versus what fukku does it's more an offset because the paper and binding used in Japanese manga is really not that great it's slightly better than newsprint while the stuff that Jacob prints is on quality paper that you can look at and say damn it's nice. I own quite a lot of Japanese imported manga hentai and not and looking at the counterpart it's this more better because it's printed on quality paper and covers. Plus I highly doubt you're importing Japanese manga in Europe and complain about cost with the vat. I mean importing it is a USA is costly but damn I don't have to pay no customs and shipping is cheaper. It doesn't seem like you're trying to insinuate physical copies since it would cost you a lot more than important to Europe then here but digitally which I don't know why you put akihabra if you're talking about digital. That's kind of like complaining to Crunchyrool about how much a subscription cost versus trying to buy the Blu-rays because the equivalent isn't really the same.

i bought the physical copy from stores in Akihabara, directly and from Comiket, i go to Japan more or less once every year, it's not question of lucky, it's the fact that in Japan are that cheap.
if the publisher wants that money the are out of theyr mind, people need to stop spending money so they put a reasonable price on them.

in a year? ok, it's 3,2% from 2023 (year i bought the Karasu-Chan) to 2024, so from 4,68 euros to a wopping 4,82 euros, so still less then 5 euros....woah, it totally excuse the 13 euros to make you read it....
dude, i want to help you pay the right amount of money for the doujin! ahahahahaha

sorry, i will reply here from your edit, no, in my bag i didn't pay nothing more, thankefully XD but even if i pay the tax in my country (22%) will still be less then here.
i can understand that the paper it's fragile ecc ecc but what make me angry it's the murk up to essentialy have acces to read something online, it cost "nothing" compare to print, distribute the books and let the shop to earn money, it's the same as videogame (a physical one is 70 bucks and the online one is 60 bucks), i don't see different's from doujin and the space it required it's a few bites...
if i need to pay 13 bucks it's for the real copy, a piece that i can put on the shelf or read when and how i want, not for an online that can be delete like nothing and without notification.
i'm comparing the digital to hard copy, and the Crunchyshit is not the same, there you pay a montly sub to watch (and that's in my book is ok), but the real comparison is "Crunc make you pay 150 bucks to watch a series - the blu ray is 90 bucks"

Reasonable price? Okay. So because a copy of a book cost 789 yen you want it to cost the same as the Euro or the same as the dollar? that's like saying well my car was made in Slovakia so I want the same three bedroom two bathroom house that I have here to cost the same as in Germany or Canada or United States or whatever. While your house is made with plywood and the other ones are made with brick and mortar. it's a totally different cost. I own a lot of the Japanese equivalents to fakku manga, TSF Monogatari as for example the difference between the Japanese tankobon and fakkus is actually totally different because the paper the cover the color is more pops because it's not on news rag it's actually on glossy paper in the ink just is more Vivid that's what you're paying for more cuz it cost more because unlike a lot of Japanese publishers they can get that grade of a deal at The Print Shop because we don't print all that much of them. That's like complaining about the shipping costs of an Amazon package versus a package from your local bookstore. hell I own the complete Yamatogawa library from Project h and looking up both of them the ones we print and the ones they print is night and day and the project H printer better than the Japanese Prince.
But then again you're missing the point of your original argument it's cheap to you because you bought it in a Japanese store in bring it home. I advise you to go online to a Japanese Bookseller and see how much is going to import to you in Europe because even though I don't have a Customs tax it's a lot. To the point that it was a lot more cheaper to book by then ship then individually buy a book and get it shipped to me like my last shipment was just $400 in shipping not to include the 5% proxy service fee in the local shipping to their warehouse in Japan. But if you can't read Japanese is it really that much of a value because I can't read Arabic but I like looking at the artwork I can't understand Chinese but I like their traditional music you can appreciate it but can you really understand what they're saying isn't at this point you're just buying it does to have a collector's item versus something you're actually reading outside of the sex which is universal. You know Hobbies ain't cheap. Having a book that's only a collector's item for $4 versus actually being able to read it is a pretty to the consumer I only own the Japanese version because I like the artist and I love the work even though I can't read it I know what it says since I read it 400 times as a fan translation back in the day.
