X-Men Suggestions?
0
All right...this might be considered lame or just fine but ever since I started playing MvC3 I have fallen in love with Wolverine and X-23 and I really want to start reading some of their series...but as a complete noob to the American Comic world I do not no where to start or what to avoid or what to rush out and get right now concerning Wolverine/x-23.
Was wondering if I could get some suggestions! Thanks :)
..Oh, and did anyone else gain an appreciation for american comics through Marvel vs capcom? Or am I just a silly kid?

for Wolverine you could get 'Origins' this explains as the title suggest his origin. what i had to wait for years for, you can get right now. you'll learn his real name how he got his claws and how old he is.

X-23: Innocence Lost
X-23: Target X
Uncanny X-men starting at issue #450
New X-men
X-Force Starting at Volume 3
-----
She has her own self title right now, but it's not that great, so i didn't list it.
I'd reccomend reading Innocence Lost, Target X, New X-men, and X-force. Then the rest if you're still interested.
---------
Wolverine is in the X-force volume too, so you get double the fun.
I'd suggest reading Old Man Logan. It takes place in an alternate timeline, but it's a fun read.

I'm actually a very huge comic book nerds a bit more biased towards marvel as well ^.^
If you want to start at the beginning of something to see if you like it, try Ultimate X-men (it's good up until trade 6, then the Ultimate Universe goes to poop.)
My favorite series is X-Factor, you could start at issue 1 with the new series.
The Pheonix Saga is renowned as being excellent if you want a Jean story, otherwise she's been dead for over 10 years, haha.
I seriously suggest Ultimate X-men as a quick read though. It's an alternate universe, but really interesting for a good while.
Hope this helps.

FYI, X-23 does not exist in the Ultimate universe. Though, you still have Wolverine in the series and then his son in Ultimate X. Although, not an X title, Ultimate Spider-man is the best series from the Ultimate Universe, so I would recommend picking that one up too.
I agree with Magneto, X Factor is a solid read.
