Homemade :)I've been cooking for several years, so I've learned how to make pizza dough(among other things.) and make the pizza the way I really want it. besides, if you make a good meal yourself then you get a feeling of accomplishment.
As far as ordering pizza, I buy from this small business across town, they're really good.

a lil' pizzaria somewhat off the map called Newbethel Ordinary. the standard medium cheese pizza, i shit you not, weighs 8-1/2 pounds. Order it with extra cheese, 14 pounds. and the mother of all pizzas, a extralarge with extra everything: 33-1/4 pounds of fricken pizza in a fricken 2-ply corrugated cardboard box.

It's a place called Enzo's in Westwood. Best NY-style pizza you can get in LA, but it still doesn't compare, obviously.

Worst. Choices. Ever.
I'm sure there's better places that I have yet to try. But Pizzapapolis is pretty damn good.
And I always enjoy Hungry Howies.

Lol chain pizza? No.
Local all the way. There's a great thincrust, brick oven place by me in NJ, and they have huge slices. SO GOOD.

Lol chain pizza? No. smaller is always better. mom and pop tpye places are the best. i'm always on the look out for a new burger stand or pizza shop.
i don't know how far it reaches, but there is a free weekly news paper called (localcity)news & review* out here. they have a whole section about local eateries. very useful.
*[size=10]the name is just initials, SJN&R in San Jose, RN&R in Reno.[/h]
