Seems odd to have only one anime movie on there when my list of favorite animated shows would have a lot of anime, but Akira did nothing for me and Ghost in the Shell didn't blow me away. Princess Mononoke is my favorite of the Miyazaki movies, all of which are excellent.

If I had to pick one movie and you told me to pick the first that came to mind it would be: Leon The Professional.

Asian movie: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Loved it pretty much. Hero isn't bad either imo.

German (thus my native country) movie: Traumschiff Surprise / Der Schuh des Manitou. Both are hilarious... gotta love Michael Bully Herbig

English / American movie: Kill Bill 1, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir dogs.

Favorite science fiction movie: Think it would be Star Wars: Episode 1. I like the movie in general, but Jar Jar Binks is epic.
