Zoids Plamo Manufacturer
0
So This month I plan on buying one of the recently released HMM Blade liger mirage, though it's fanbase are not as big as GUNDAM, I just love how it is Amazingly detailed unlike most of the gundam (please don't mad, it is just my opinion though),, if not then picture must have deceived my eyes XD.
I noticed that unlike GUNPLA that is mainly manufactured by Bandai, ZOIDs seem have a lot manufacturer like Revoltech, TOMY, and KOTOBUKIYA...
What I want to ask is.. I wonder if it is a wise decision for me to buy KOTOBUKIYA HMM Blade liger Mirage? I mean if we compare between Revoltech, TOMY, and KOTOBUKIYA plastic model kit, which one has a better quality? I just don't have enough money to waste, so I wanna to make sure if it has a "Good Quality"
Edit: should I just ignore this KOTOBUKIYA HMM Blade liger Mirage kit? or wait for the other manufacturer to release their any other look a like kit
Edit Again:
beside the Decals thingy,,, What kind of magic applied to the first picture? repaint? Clear Matt coat?
look at how much the difference between those 2 picture i'm a bit discourage now...

Do you understand that one is done by a professional and the other is most likely done by a casual modeler?
I'm sure if you look over various sites that show pictures of kits like Ngee Khiong then comparing to pictures for example from FOG here on Fakku, the difference should be apparent and I'm not sure how you didn't realize that there are pros who build beautiful kits.

I just don't understand how could they officially release the ceramic white color picture, while they release it in pearl white metallic color,,, it is just like kind of "BIG LIES",,, at least they could release the closest one to the real.
HMM/HighEnd Master Model Title just not worth it.

Well that's just something you're just going to have to accept about things in the model kit world. Bandai or whoever will make different versions of the same kit be it the normal version, metallic, clear, etc, and slap some name on it like "special... edition". You know them making models is a business and they'll release whatever they think will sell. They're not lying or anything, they're just releasing many different types of the same kit just with different plastic. And no, they will never only release one of the same kit.

Okay just repeat my first post, is it worth it to buy this Kotobukiya stuff?
I wonder if Kotobukiya is name/Brand that you can trust for its quality like Bandai? or should I waiting for the manufacturer
Please take a note that I don't have any Zoids model kit before, all of my model kits I've bought are Gundam-bandai so I really have no Idea -_-a

Based on my Armored Core kit and my friend SRW series kit, it's worth. Because Kotobukiya kit is more complicated to assembly than Bandai's HG 1/144 and NG 1/100, sometimes some parts got painted (mostly at SRW kits). Although the articulation isn't too good compare to Bandai, and Koto's plastic is harder than Bandai's (it always make my finger-ache specialy at thumb after finished assembly it). Also there're (just little) parts that hard to snap, it can be anticipate by make the hole little bigger
more info about kotobukiya kit http://dalong.net/review/kotobukiya.htm
Those kits are unpainted (just added sticker)

Beside the Pearl runner that I have to repaint into White if I'm going to buy this kit, which other colored runner I have to repaint? the other parts seem to be alright if I don't repaint it. What do you think guys?
Then this,,,,
How am I supposed to pain those part? -_-a
Not with spray-paint or gundam marker I think? I never paint a model kit before.
Guys, being interested in model kit world sure are quite a problem.
Thanks guys for the replies,,, now after keep looking at the first picture, I am Fire up,,, I Think.
@Epsilon: Thanks for the link. wow, Alisiah Unsung is cool right.

You know if you don't want to paint this, then why don't you just buy the normal version? There is no Attack Booster(CP-12) attached to the normal version, and the other version both AB and Bang are already discontinued. beside there is no decals included to the previous version right?

About "1/H1;80/H35"
don't know about the meaning "H1" & "H35". But, 1 and 80 is paint number on "Mr. Color" paint list. 1 for white and 80 for cobalt blue
The result: 97% is white mix with 3% cobalt blue

Can I Ask one more thing? is it a Acrylic or Lacquer? I need it to be more specific.
Seems like I am gonna do the paint.

Honestly, i don't know the different between acrylic and lacquer until now. because both look same to me (only know the different between flat-gloss-semigloss, acrylic-enamel). sorry -_-'
But shop owner told me once that Mr.Color is lacquer type.

Same for me,,, I don't know much about it either. I just once heard there is some kind type of Paint that will melt your Model Kit Plastic, so i wonder which one is it. I can't imagine if I paint with that type/kind of paint later -_-a
But hey, look at what i have found.

I never had platic kit got melt when using paint and thinner for model kit (Mr.Color-Revell-Tamita,etc.)
But i got experience for plactic melt by thinner that is not use for model kit. I dropped thinner on model kit (that usually used to thin wall paint or car paint) while i cleaned my brush. the effect was great. it "little" bit melted (just like get hit by heat effect of beam cannon). Lucky for me, it was only First Grade, not HG or other scale.
So don't worry as long as you used paint and thinner for model kit, it won't melt the plastic (at least that's my experience).
