Zombie Anatomy(Iraq)
0
So I'm currently deployed in Taji, Iraq. Some of the things soldiers do out here to keep ourselves entertained is to have classes and events. Like salsa dancing, Martial Arts, Movie night. Things that are fun...So I got an e-mail today advertising that we're having a Zombie Survival class on the 21st of December. Should I go? Learn about the vital areas of the zombie body. How to kill em and what to kill em with? I haven't gone to any of these events before and thought"Hey that sounds like fun". Tell me would you go? Also what would you use to kill a zombie. And what kind of zombies do you think we would get. the mindless flesh eating ones.Or the smart strong ones from I am Legend.

Who knows it could be fun. They should train you to deal with both fast and slow zombies.
I think there's a zombie survival thread somewhere on here discussing how to deal with them.
If I was in the middle of a zombie outbreak I'd probably use firearms against them. BUT if the zombies are attracted to sound it would only be a weapon of last resort. The main thing about zombies is that no matter how much ammo you have, you will eventually get overwhelmed so avoiding combat is more than preferable.

After reading the opening post, I am not sure if this thread should belong to the Serious Discussions section. However, I am willing to give it another chance to see how things develop.
Getting back on topic, I am glad to hear that soldiers situated at dangerous territories have found ways to keep themselves entertained and upbeat, as long as no one is hurt from these activities. If you have the time, why not join your peers for a session of relaxation? I would think it helps to alleviate one's stress.

lol I would go. Sounds very interesting, and hey you never know it could happen O.o
Personally, I figure we've learned enough about zombies as it is, with all the video games, movies, comics, ect.

Yeah, I'd go. Can never be unprepared. Who knows? The taliban that you kill over there might rise up to exact their revenge upon your brains.

I find it a little eerie that you're laughing about killing (albeit zombies) while deployed to war.
Even if it isn't a military-sanctioned event.
Is this just me or does that make sense...

Pretty fucking good. Covers a lot of details. Good to know in times of need.

I also own, and think it a good read. Have you by chance read World War Z? It is very good, and I highly recommend you pick it up if you have not already.*

If you play video games at some point or another you laughed at something or someone you killed. Did you not? Are you saying that since I'm deployed I can't enjoy playing left for dead and laughing at a zombie I just shot the head off of? I understand what your saying. It's about enjoying the good moments when your in a war-zone. For all I know I could be dead tomorrow or a buddy I meet at the class could be dead tomorrow. And it also comes down to personal opinions.
