Christmas: Merry or Sad?

Long time no see...

Anyway, I've been hearing rumors about suicides at its peak at Christmas season (cracked.com has already disproved this) and that there are tons of people without anyone to spend the yuletide season with.

Personally, I hate this season because this is the season why I got confessed to by text message, denied that I received it, then got hated by her the following year. Add the fact that while I give everyone gifts, nobody gives me anything back (not that I expect to get something, but not getting anything from anyone still hurts.)


Is Christmas a fun-filled event for you or a season of sadness? Background stories appreciated.

No, but it sure doesn't suck for me as bad as it does for you.

Lol, you hate this season because you chose not to respond to a girl's confession (not to mention denying that motherfucker even existed)? That blame game sure is easy to play.

Christmas for me is sort of a "Uh...so its christmas..." thing.
Our family is not very united, so most of the time we just stay at home, or go dine with my grandmother.

So I go with the "Meh..." option in the pol-oh, wait, there's none >.>

I voted "ROCKS" even though I am very apathetic towards the holiday; I have no hate, which was why I voted the way I did.

There's usually a fight between my father and I on either Christmas or Christmas Eve. Two years it was physical. I'm not a huge fan of the season. Plus Traffic sucks, too.

I didn't deny she existed. Read again, you're getting ahead of the story. Plus it was totally my fault and I hate this season coz it hurts my heart, my wallet, and my butt sitting hours long in family reunions and xmas parties.

I like it. Having a nice time with my family + girlfriend and the food is awesome.

I like the season, though if it were to vanish one day I wouldn't miss it too much. I must say that people seem to be high-strung during all of December, and I've had a couple really horrible, depressing Christmases as well.

I used to like it when i was younger.
We hadnt had FUNNY christmas since about 4 years because every year something bad happened (i collapsed, grandfather got heart attack, etc.)

Then the traffic is indeed terrible at this time too, and the stress of buying the presents, not knowing what everyone really likes-.-

Meh i picked i hate this season.

Too much about consumerism these days. Ive aways hated the Christmas fiasco .

My life isnt perfect in any way shape or form, In fact on closer inspection its frankly laughable but... I love Christmas!

I hate the rush! Everything is so fast w/ this season its like it passes you by in a swift motion and before you knew it its all over! sucks..

but all in all it aint soo bad afterall the gifts hve been opened!

I hate every bit of it. It's either religous or pro-consumerism, both make me sick. I don't celebrate it at all.

The season sucks (especially where I live) but the day itself isn't so bad.

Where is my damn "Meh" option? There are good things and bad things about X-mas in about equal portions.

Right now i am in a Fuck this season mood, but that is because of my family.
