its abit hard to explain but i dont know what to believe, it all started about christmas, one day i just woke up and thought...somthing feels diffrent..how can my life feel diffrent?..what if im not living my life , what if this isnt real?!
i know i sound crazy, but when i thought about it, i came to a new level of understanding....kinda, i realised if this is just a dream or some lie how can i get to the real thing?...i also wanderd if the people i talk to are real or just a lie...i think you guys have to be real...you just havnt realised whats happning yet, but then are there other people like me?....then i realised that people are just people, remember when you were a kid in primary school, i always used to cry when i got told of, but then the person telling me of has the basic attibutes as me....so in theory were equal, the only thing that makes the teacher 'higher' is how she/he has develped and there place in the academic society.....i know it must sound crazy and i know i must be wrong...but what if im right,....ever heard the theory about a robot discoverying who he/she is..discovering its not just a tool...yes man kind made that theory, but maybe theres more to it, like relating to ourself....please dont treat me like a mad man...

Many people have thoughts like that at least once or twice in their life. Its just a simple phase of doubt, you'll then come to an understanding of the world which you have thought up. this is a process I'm sure many people have gone through, even me. but I'm not bothered to share my views on the world

After watching the first Matrix, I kind of wondered a similar thought. The way I see life is "we live by how we're taught." Whether or not you're right or wrong we'll just be doing this-and-that like how a human typically lives with their unpredictable and predictable antics.
Fuck, there are a lot of people who think "is this all real" and all that yaddayadda. I do too from time to time but I don't give it that serious-a thought since I'm always thinking "well what the fuck am I gonna do about it?" We just have the thought and then *swish* water under the bridge. "Life" goes on.
And thoughts like these are why people start to not believe in god.

At first i thought you were having an existential crisis, but now i agree with the first couple posters. and yes if you're looking at I, robot read the book. it's more informative than the movie.

I always tend to assume people are either high and/or drunk when making topics with the more primitive stages of philosophical thinking.
I dare not think that what you have provided as example to be an actual, accurate account of a human beings' thought process. The idea horrifies me.
Anyways, my point was that a topic could stay in SD if it has the potential/has already begotten interesting discourse. This particular thread does bring up a rather fun issue- but it just suffers from poor presentation upon the OP's part.
