Reading the lolicon thread i remembered about death penalty and i must ask, ¿What do you think about it? As humans, are we up to decide who lives or dies?

Yes, we are a soical race and as such we depend on society for a fulfilling life. If it means we have to purge filth that would be a risk to us, it is theirs and our responsibility to uphold the natural order of things and eliminate people who would or have done such harm to society and humanity as a whole.
Of course a sense of justice must be enforced when deciding that such a course of action must be taken else we are just wrongfully slaughtering in vein.

Too late for a lengthy argument from me, but in a nutshell, I think life in prison is by far a worse punishment. A lifetime of confinement, poor treatment and reflection, but equally the possibility of educating and getting remorse from a person.
That, and the obvious moral benefits.

It is a far worse punishment, but I hate the fact our taxes will keep him fed and dry for the rest of his life. Hope he drops the soap everyday!

Though the death penalty will indeed get rid of the parasite quick and easy.
The point of a penalty is to punish. Thus life-imprisonment would be worse when considered from the punishment aspect.

While I sometimes agree that some people aren't fit to live I do not support the current death penalty in America.
It is too expensive, easily costing more than a life sentence. It usually takes to long to carry out, some prisoners are on death row for much more than a decade. And it seems to not be a good crime deterrent.

Death penalty its ok if the prisoner is going to several multiple life sentences that means that there harmful to prisons and are going to just waste away money in prison frankly they just make prison worse.

Sometimes its necessary cause the atrocities that some people made, but here is the moral dilema, who are we to judge and take a life. I agree sometimes the reasons are so strong to talk about the dilemas and other things, like the war criminals.
Its a hard theme with some people that supports dead penalty and people who doesnt.
As for myself i support dead penalty but only if your law system its clear, solid and without the contradictions that some constitutions have. Its hard in this days to find a clear and updated law system in the world.

I am against the death penalty based on personal beliefs. I see the government as being "of the people". Which translates into the government is made up of the people and all laws that affect the people also bind the government in the same way.
Why is the government allowed to deprive a man of his life if you would be charged as a murderer for the same action? Why is there a different standard?
