Earthquakes and more disasters is wreaking havoc across Asia

Aside from the latest disasters above, some of them also occurred not too long ago like the Australian dust storm which is said to be the worst in decades and Indonesian earthquake that struck off the west coast of Java, measured 7.3 magnitude. And the worst was yesterday which 2 earthquakes struck at almost the same time in the morning in 2 different place in Indonesia.
Disasters keeps on coming lately. Thank God, I'm not one to suffer from it first hand. But the numbers of natural disasters these days is too damn crazy, that it becomes the main topic of newspaper and talks everywhere. If this keep goes on, the 2012 nonsense is no more laughing matter.

Mother Nature continues to let loose on one small part of the planet ... Reuters reported Thursday that people in the Philippines were bracing for a new storm, days after Typhoon Ketsana left more than 270 dead there. The BBC reports that Vietnam and Cambodia have been hard hit by the same wild weather pattern.
Meantime, LATimes.com was reporting that more than 777 had died in the earthquakes that struck within hours of each other overnight Wednesday near Padang on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The BBC puts it at 1,000 or more.
In the South Pacific, rescuers continued to pick through the devastation wrought by the four powerful tsunamis generated by a huge undersea quake crashed into Samoa and American Samoa on Tuesday. The death toll there stood at around 140, but officials said it was rising, with hundreds missing, Reuters reported.

What's worse for us Filipinos is that after this one, there is a good chance of another one.

It's all ready here... It's storm signal number two from where I'm at... And just the other day some of my friends and I donated some clothes and canned foods for the ones affected in National Capital Region. It's sad though that certain people seem to be insensitive to the disaster that happened but thankfully still a lot of people cared and helped out the victims...

Yeah, perfect target for psychotic right-wing Evangelists to start spewing their doomsday nonsense. They did at tandem during the 2004 tsunami, and now they are at it again. Yes, yes, God is punishing the sinners, and the day for redemption is at hand, blah... blah... I really wish they would just shut up. It is a little thing called human arrogance, and treating this planet like our own personal garbage dump. It isn't God's wrath, but I would maybe call it karma.

I wouldn't call it karma, we didn't receive the Good to deserve the bad.
karma that is.
Not that I know of.

Doesn't have to to be good leading to bad or vice-versa. Just a simple example of "getting what you deserve" as being karma. You treat the planet like shit, the planet will treat you like shit in return. That is karma, not karma anyone wants, but karma nonetheless.
Obviously it doesn't exactly work that way since the planet doesn't have a consciousness, but the idea is still the same. We are digging our own graves, and of course we'd rather blame anyone else, and even a supernatural being, rather than come out and admit our fault in the matter. *shrugs*

I don't know, if you ask me, this karma thing is not really fair in judging who's time it is to give its payback to. I priest could be the neighbor of a convict during the heavy flood.
Maybe its God, maybe its Karma, but definite it was circumstance.
The world is adjusting due to the circumstance.

Well in the end I like to think of it as more of a "these things happen." There isn't so much anyone to blame. You can't blame God, and you can't necessarily blame ourselves either. Natural disasters do happen regardless of outside influence. All anyone can do is pick up the pieces and try again. Grieve for those who have lost and are lost, but dwelling on the fact of the matter is pointless.

Awfully tangential, but it's pretty sad how everyone is trying to keep the new CR secret. So some things happen. People need to get over it.
