Fakku in 5 to 10 years

Remember me?
I have the feeling FAKKU will be one of the largest communities for anime, manga, doujins, and hentai on the internet.
Unfortunately, I have an equally strong feeling FAKKU may get shut down for copyright bullshit.
Where do you guys think FAKKU will be in 5 to 10 years?

If it is still up and running, I dont think it will be that different, but it all depends on if the users decide to stay, plenty of people make an account and never come back to the site, and other people simply come to the site for doujins.

Well, the ad people would realize what a loss loli stuff are and they will request Jacob to bring it back.I wish.

Debating whether lolicon is ethical will take forever, so the ad company just didnt want to risk it, I never came here for lolicon anyway, there are plenty of other sites, Fakku will still be around with or without loli.

I can certainly see the copyright bullshit. However, FAKKU! is far to loved by so many to simply go away. Even if it was shutdown by that it would comeback even better, maybe under a different name or run by someone else but it would always be there.

He is the originator

I'd like to see Fakku as a middleman between us international fans and real hentai mangaka.
Imagine, being able to buy doujinshi directly from authors, or communicate with them! Would be a really interesting feature, in my opinion.
I'd hope that Fakku can thrive for at least a decade more... but with people trying to control the internet (all over the world, not just in China/US etc), I fear sites like Fakku might become relics of the Intetnet's golden, dead ages. :<

i see it, available in diffent languages, with a freaking collection of hentai, videos and news, and sure, why not new options that we could enjoy with the web 3.0(don't ask me which ones)
But yeah i also think the same as gizgal, i also fear the future.

Fakku will become the heart and soul of the english speaking Anime fan community that will continue to share opinions on new anime, manga, visual novels and games. It may go further and have multiple small side projects as well.

Ive never really been one to speculate about the future but the one thing i do believe is that fakku, and sits like it, will exist in one form or another weather under a new name/flag or even buy another owner but or what ever.
for instance a good example i think wold be sits like aries lives, formaly ariesdies, and i belive a site called hentai lite went thro a mager revamp a few years ageo

As long as the users decide not to ruin the forums completely it should be up and going for many years.
Im sure Jacob wont let it die so easily as well.

Nah, we have quite a way to go to catch up with either Hongfire or Animesuki.
Being the no. 1 site for Hentai, yeah, maybe. All things related to anime, manga? Not likely.

Hell, why bother. It's best to corner the interests you're good at catering to. Sure, we have anime and manga forums, but no one needs to get their content from here. Other sites do that well enough already.
I like Fakku's focus on its singular goal of bringing hentai to a larger audience.

I don't think fakku will be around for another 5-10 years. Most likely Jacob will have already made a killing in the stock-market and forget all about his subordinates.

Jake is the one with the connections to all things hentai and anime, Danny Choo, convention people, etc. If one of the other admins took over as the main admin, I do not believe it would be as comprehensive of a site; there'd be no giveaways, no new fakku merchandise, no crazy horsehead, etc. It really would not be fakku without Jake running things around here.

Assuming that the 2012 thing is bullshit (and I do think it is) and that Hentai hasn't become contraband, I see this being... still a fun place to go.

To be honest, I sincerely doubt Fakku will still be around in another five years. Jacob surely isn't going to be doing this forever and unless someone else wants to take up the cost and maintenance of the site then it will simply disappear.

I'm F-ing locking my doors and windows on the new years day of 2012, i'm more afraid of Doomsayers and similar folk running amok on 2012. I'd like to say i have more faith in humanity but fate likes to prove me wrong all the time.
that aside though even if the database gets scrubbed i don't see these forums dieing, we'd certainly have less people here though.
