Fakku is STAGNATING

It's not nice to hate on another member when he didn't do anything bad to deserve it. And his writing isn't that bad.

Also, I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about there being very few cool/good threads, but rather that there has been alot of really bad ones.

You know, it's not everyday you bump into interesting stuff to make threads about. It's not so simple.

Then that can't be helped right? Because of this, lil Von needs to be patient. If there aren't any interesting threads, make more. If you can't find anything to make a thread out of, that really can't be helped.

I'm thinking we should take the "reposts are allowed" thing with a grain of salt.
It helps keep places like random active, but also adds to the repetition from thread to thread.

Not allowing reposts (although not enforced heavily) keeps this problem at bay, but discourages new users from chiming in with their views and accelerates board decay.

What with this "Stagnating", i don't feel it at all. If you care enough, browse the entire FAKKU!, not just here and there. But well, you might not interested on all of them. I usually just read them all and not posted anyway, but it is still interesting.

I agree, it is not a creativity. It's just he want to be unique in a community, but that will also mean some of the people do not want to read what he post.

Yes. And you're also one of those that enjoys pouring oil into the fire. Seriously now, school started for you again. You should stop and return to how you typed prior to summer vacation. Come on, College is a Bitch. A simple mistake can ruin everything. And I know this typing of yours is already a habit so revert back before its too late. I would pm this, but it is getting a little out of hand. Sides you ignore most of the pm's anyway.

I've seen people use different colors, people using different fonts, or adding a word at the end of their sentence to be "different", and I haven't been annoyed as much as the capitalization of every word in your sentences. It slows my reading, and it's not practical at all. I think it's important for Albel to speak his mind and bring it to your attention on the forums if you've ignored his PMs.

Besides windknight111's habit of capitalizing every word is not the topic here, it's Fakku which is seeming to be "stagnating" atm.

Just to answer this and end this annoying topic (my capitalization) that popped out of nowhere. He (Username Alble...) knows for a fact that I cant disagree with him in such matters. He has always been right and Im always wrong. And I havent ignored any PM's lately, so he's probably recalling my past actions.

Now end this, and get back to the original topic.

New topics really are not that hard to come by [make] either. It bothers me how the can't use the search function like i do just to check if the topic's already been made. I know Jacob said that reposts in random are allowed, it it getting to be quite annoying with all of the "Would you fuck it", "Are you a boy or a girl", "What's your Fetish" and shit along those lines.

I feel like throwing in my two cents because I've dealt with this sort of thing before, in places other than Fakku. The place becomes less fun, and you don't spend as much time on there as before (or you spend just as much time, but you're bored a lot). Sometimes, you get bored because the place isn't new, but sometimes, it's more than that. Quality does go down, or you desire something that was never present.

Posting the stuff you want is the way to go, but that's not always going to solve the problem. After all, if you post stuff that no one reads or responds to, then nothing has changed.

The past couple of years, I've had an on/off relationship with 4chan's Paranormal board, /x/. The older the place got, the worse it became, until it got to where it is now - almost no serious threads and a bunch of idiots whose sense of humor is reminiscent of a first-grader. The devoted /x/philes tried posting original content, and that worked for a while, but now, even the best OC gets ignored. So, I stopped going there completely.

The lesson learned? Post the things you want to see, and things may get better; however, people may ignore it, and if they do, you might want to think about going somewhere else. Leaving is hard, but sometimes, a place just isn't right for you anymore.

This is something I want to add in regards to the cyberspace.

I don't think FAKKU! should become a surrogate life of sorts. Placing that much emphasis on FAKKU! means that you should get out more and immerse yourself in the real world. It would be folly for one to live vicariously through FAKKU!. However, I believe that communication is important (more than I realize), and cyberspace communities are perfect for that.

But I digress. Back on topic, Tsurayu made a perfect point, and to add to that, it's like life - not everything is going to go your way simply because you want to be that way. Perhaps with each new wave of new users, they're lacking more netiquette than the next, and that might attribute to the low quality of posts/threads I've seen at FAKKU!. (And the sheer number of them...)

I guess I'm just not seeing it or it is because I'm still relatively new that I have noting to compare with, but I don't see things being poor here on Fakku. People are having fun, chatting, keeping topics in their respective forums and on topic (mostly). There may have been a huge influx of activity in IB and a lack in Serious Discussion, but I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. It's just different, not stagnating.

The only problem I've had with Fakku recently is all the drama. (That, and my current interests aren't discussed much here, but that's to be expected of such esoteric interests.) I've seen Serious Discussion be a lot more active over the past couple of weeks, and that may be a large part of why I continue to try to make time for Fakku. In that sense, Fakku is getting better.

I remember when I joined, Random was all you needed.

Seriously, it was a sacred mid-ground, where you could make jokes, but still have an intelligent exchange.

I saw the same posts, but with updated contents, so what could I say is FAKKU is moving, not stagnating. Actually, the thing I'm still mad is: When will the Image Part will be available again? Opening each forum to get some picture hurts me.

It wasn't easy to mantain a independant Image search engine though... Just wait patiently because Jacob or other admin will TRY to reopen it.

By the way Fakku is not stagnating. why don't u go and try other type forum like video upload or VN? They are updated daily.

Not too sure if this will help, but not being on FAKKU! all the time, 24/7, will help relieve some of the boredom as every time you come back there's always something new to talk about.
