I think that relating feelings to an anime is perfectly natural. It is by our own power alone that we change the way in which we live. Connections can help solidify the way you feel, and uncover feelings you didn't think you had.

I hear you man. I often use anime/manga/movies to relate to my own life. Not only my love life, but more usually everyday situations.
I have actually found that trying to relate my love life to anime/manga often ends up with me messing things up. And I think that this has to do with that in manga/anime the emotions are usually put to the extreme. (Cuz who would actually like a story where ppl don't get a worked up/emotional about things? Note: Ofc there are exceptions.) And people usually don't react the same way as they do in stories.
But despite this I think that watching anime/manga is a great way to learn about yourself, since if you get yourself involved with the characters you can find yourself agreeing or disagreeing with their way of thinking.
It feels like I mostly rambled on. Sorry if you can't work out what I was really trying to say.

well, manga has not jaded my interests but is kinda a hopeful thing actually of sorts.
Life is pretty jading however.

I find myself changed by everything that occurs around me, i wouldn't use the term jaded for myself in this case, but i do agree that anime is hot an extremely heavy influence.
Regardless of how awesome anime is. :D

Yes, it influenced me alot, it made me not care much about my significant other just like my friends who are desperate for theirs.

I will say that Kare Kano helped me in deciding to confess to one girl that i really loved her.(Don't worry it all ended with a good ending...my confession that is)

I've only had one anime that got me upset because it reminded me of my past relationship. I watched the anime a good while after the relationship was over, but it still hurt because it felt like I was watching another girl go through something really similar that I went through so I cried a lot and felt sorry for her.
What anime was it?
*shock*
The only reason it was like that was due to: (Real anime spoilers so beware)
That anime I bawled through so much of just flat out snotty sobs.

Then throw it in the trash can. That was very cheesy (-rep). Also the majority of Mangas I read (and animes I watch) are generally action series, or psychological horror, most of which don't end up hapily, however I have used them to relate to my life, unfortunately the authorities disliked the idea of me wielding a giant sword while running around screaming.
No wonder you've got - rep. Not only do you run like a derailed train off topic, you failed to even slightly contribute to this topic.
Now if there's any kind of person i hate, then it's the kind that thinks sarcasme without adding something to the conversation is welcomed on SD.

Ha, it is ironic then by you posting that, that you infact "derailed the train off topid" and failed "to even slightly contribute to this topic".
My post had significance as it put forward the point that I have not been given different feelings towards others, or have used techniques in manga/anime to communicate towards others, in a, well what I assumed as a, humourous way. Anyone incapible of seeing that shouldn't be in the "Serious Discussion" section of threads.
May I also add that my statement supported your previous statement, aswell as the person who I gave -Rep to. Thanks for a chuckle, I owe you.
